This is a great product for the amateur calligrapher. Very smooth draw and nice look.

Pass on this one if looking for a gift
Ink and pens are fine. Packaging is very flimsy and cheap. Booklet is sparse and printed on glossy paper, which isn’t conducive to practice. Not nice enough to gift someone but fine for an inexpensive purchase for self.

My 12 yr old loved playing with this
This turned out to be a great gift. He had fun with his friends swapping out all the inks and practicing their names. Very cool. Wish it had a better storage situation; the box is really more like packaging and there are quite a bit of bits. We use a nice cloth bag and that works well; we kept the plastic insert tho to keep it organized.
