Issue with using the 1/2" drive
Updated: Although I initially gave this item a 2 star rating because of the looseness of the fit between the 1/2 drive bar and the 3/8 bar, most of the other wrenches of this type look designed the same way. This tool is fine with the 3/8 bar, but there is a worry that the connection between the 3/8 and 1/2 inch bars could strip out if too much torque is used. Other users might mention that if it happens to them. I am raising my rating to a 3. . 8PCS Universal Serpentine Belt Tool Kit - 3/8" & 1/2" Drive Belt Adjust Tightener Wrench Set for Automotive Repair & Maintenance: . Came on time . Looks good . Likely strong enough . The 3/8" bar, with the 3/8" sockets, etc work fine. . The issue: . [1/2" drive issue] The 3/8 bar has a standard spring loaded bearing on the 3/8 drive which pushes into the 1/2 in bar which is supposed to lock it firmly in place. It does not lock it in place! In fact it is so loose the bars easily separate. That is a problem when using both bars that are attached to one another. They come apart easily since they are not locked together. Oops! See attached picture!
