Very good starter kit!
I’m enjoying this espresso prep set, now. When I received the set the tamper tool, the one that compresses the grounds in the porta filter would not go down completely. I figured out that in the basket of my Delonghi espresso machine it has small indents inside the wall of the insert basket which prevented it from going down completely. It was a fraction of mm too indented so I found a tool in my tool kit which I was able to hammer the indent a little to make the tamper fit. Now it works perfectly and I’m pleased with the set. The kits nothing fancy but it helps take your espresso to the next level.

A must for espresso machine owners!
Sooooo, embarrassingly, I realized I was WAY over-tamping my espresso. My son, who works at Starbucks, had taught me you need around 30 pounds of pressure to properly pack espresso. Well who the heck really knows what 30 pounds actually is when you're pushing on it? Lol. I was blessed to receive this through the Amazon Vine program, and I'm so glad I have it! When I packed the espresso with the spring loaded tamper for the first time, I realized I was using way too much force when doing it manually. I immediately noticed a difference for the better in my espresso shots!! I use it every single time now. I'll usually tamp it a couple times to make sure it's totally even. It brews a delicious espresso shot. I was formerly using a plastic manual tamper, but this metal-bottom one is SO much better, sturdier, and more accurate. The tool with the needles might be making a difference too. I poke and stir the espresso once I add it, before tamping it. The little funnel is super quick to put on and it keeps grounds from spilling out. Finally, the tamping mat is a great addition because it creates a nice firm surface and also will catch any stray grounds. Plus it's a nice base to put the tamper on when not being used. The setup is really easy to use, and it's very sturdy equipment. It looks nice too, and it's such a cool addition to my morning espresso routine. Try it! You'll enjoy it. :)

Works well with a frustration free stand
For the past 15 years I have been on my espresso journey, new tools routinely come to market that seem to be game changers. I did not jump on the WDT wagon initially simply because I was very happy with my shots. My grinder does not leave clumps and WDT’s seem to have minimal effect. That said, I enjoyed using this one and would recommend it if you have clumpy pucks. Here are some things to consider about this one.. - It is made of plastic. So, nothing too elegant but it will last for years and work well. - The spindles are thin, long, quality steel and there are quite a few of them. The size Might be overkill for a 51mm basket but it works great on my 58mm bottomless portafilter. - I actually like the large size. It sits well with my other utensils (see attached photo). - It is easy to place the tool back in its stand. I have used several where the spindles easily get caught and bent. This one is a joy to take in and out of its casing. If you have clumps in your grind, you will be serviced by a WDT tool and this one has its advantages. Though, the best new-ish espresso gadget that has come around is a ground leveler / distributor tool. That has made an improvement in my shots that were already pretty great.

Small but does a great job
This neat little tool does a great job of evenly distributing the espresso in the filter to produce a smoother and more even shot. It's a great addition to any coffee bar as its small enough to not take up any space but needed for excellent coffee. The wires can be sharp on the end so be careful to keep the tool in its holder. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.

I’m loving the funnel and the tamper has a great weight
This espresso accessory set worked out great in my 51 mm DeLonghi espresso machine. The thing I like the most about it is the funnel. I’ve been looking for a funnel like this one for a little while now and I’m glad I found this one because it does a great job. It fits perfectly on the portafilter and helps me have a more tidy workspace when I’m making espresso. The distributor is very similar to other distributors of used. It’s an effective distributor and I like it very much. The tamper was surprising. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I prefer a smooth surface on my tamper. The ridges on the bottom of this tamper are interesting, but this texture would not be my first choice. This one definitely does the job, and maybe it’s just my own personal preferences getting in the way, but I kind of wish it was smooth on the bottom of this tamper. What I do like about the tamper is the spring. I think the spring is helpful when pressing shots. I feel like I’m less likely to overdo it when I’m pressing down. The silicone mat is a nice touch. I kind of feel like the silicone mat is a little bit more for aesthetics, but it’s nice to have. When I put my tamper down, I think I’m a little noisy early in the morning. Now I think I’m less likely to be heard when I’m making espresso at 7 AM. I think this is a cute little set that’s probably great for anyone who’s just starting out with their espresso journey. I think it would make a lovely gift. I know I certainly would’ve appreciated getting one of these as a gift. I have no problem recommending this product. I could find nothing significantly wrong with it. Five out of five stars.
