The entire unit was still covered in the plastic that protects the bare sheet metal - but after assembly there's still some left that can't be removed as it's covered by the top lip.. Which is cheaply pop-riveted on. They cut out spots for their labels and such, but used a sharp knife and scratched into the metal.All of the corners and places where it is spot welded are obvious rusting, although they spray painted over the rust with aluminum paint.. Stainless doesn't rust and aluminum paint comes off during normal use, so that's not food safe.The heating coil is crooked and the seals aren't properly under compression which will cause leaks in no time, and probably allow water inside the heating element.Addendum: yep, it leaked the minute I put water in it.I removed the bottom sheet metal to see what was going on and... Too many bad welds and soldering to list.. But the leak appears to be coming from a tiny spot weld that's burned through the water pan.Don't they leak test these things before they ship them out? (obviously not)Also several loose wires and a couple of unused zip ties just floating around inside.Save your money and buy a better one.

The reviews on this product seem to be a mixed bag, however I have been fortunate enough to have received a good quality unit. Have used at multiple events, sometimes the unit is on 4 days straight for 10+ hours at high temp and no issues. I fill the base of the unit with water and it heats up the pans quickly. Only issue I have is with the drain which has a poor seal and is slow. Easier to just let the unit cool and dump the water.

Some of the bad reviews had me hesitant to purchase . The main complaint was it leaked . My first use it did leak , very , very little around the drain. Turns out , all that has to be done is NOT use the cosmetic chrome ring that goes on before attaching the spigot, this will allow it to tighten further in to the unit. Obviously use the supplied teflon tape , and bingo. No more leaks . Seems kind of obvious to me . Never the less it works great and is a great value for the cost. I'll add..... one of the pans has a slight bend in it , I fixed that with my bare hands . Seems piddly to leave a bad review for such. I would and will buy another if needed ! 5 stars

Bought this to use in our food truck, worked as intended, used it one time and the crossbar bent and instructions are lacking… takes abt 2 hrs to heat to temp if you use room temp water. Save yourself some time and put hot water into it to begin with. It will kee and heat after that. Wish the metal pans and crossbars were stronger metal though.

Fast easy shipping that saved me

My mom and I each bought one of these for an event. We were getting it just a couple of days before so it was really important that they work. I plugged mine in, the light went on indicating it was working, there was a pop, then the light went off. It never turned on again after that. My moms worked for a few hours, then light went off and never came on again. We were scrambling the morning of the event to come up w/ a different option. We’re returning both of them. These are cheap, but that’s because they’re cheap. We still want some large electric chaffing dishes. We will spend a bit more money and get something better. I bought a smaller chaffing dish from Procter Silex as a “backup” and ended up having to use that. It worked great. I would recommend that brand over this, for sure. Don’t waste your time/money on this one.

I gotta start by saying VEVOR is one of the best costumer services I’ve ever had. They took care of my concern and provided one of the best costumer service I’ve ever had.The product works great. I am married into a Phillipino Pamilia and they always have big parties. The food stays warm and fresh. I recommend it if you have a big family or a business that constantly needs to keep food fresh.
