Some of the reviewers don’t seem to understand what this product is. It isn’t designed to be impenetrable, it’s designed as a deterrent and to stop a ne’er-do-well walking off with your stuff, and for that it does quite well. It is sturdy enough to make breaking in intrusive. It seems to not cause issues with airport scanners, though don’t take that as gospel. The lock seemed to work fine in sand, though we also kept it in a beach bag. It could be better made for a few pence more, especially round the hinges, hence the 4 stars

Extremely useful, wouldn't go on holiday without one

The safe is as shown and would work for a little extra safety , however it’s bigger than expected and solid so if your travelling light it won’t work as it’s too large size of a medium handbag no flexibility. But works well as a safe

Bought ahead of a holiday to use to keep valuables safe whilst in the pool. The safe is quite large, however the combination tumbler didn't set correctly, meaning it couldn't be unlocked despite fiddling around with the numbers. Luckily I was only "test driving" it so there was nothing locked inside. I ended up binning it and ordered a more expensive safe.
