Supportive and Comfortable
This knee replacement pillow is pretty nice for resting your leg. It's firm enough to provide plenty of support. It's very well made and well designed. I think it's the perfect height to rest your leg and take pressure off of your knee. It's super easy to use and pretty intuitive as far as how it works. Just put your ankle in the space. Overall, this is a good quality pillow that would be helpful for keeping your leg in place and lifted to the right height after a surgery. It really is super supportive and soft at the same time.

Not necessary for recovery
There is nothing wrong with this product, you just don’t need it for your recovery. I purchased this pillow and never once used it. A rolled up towel actually works better anyway, to get the extension in your knee that you need. Don’t waste your money! You don’t need as much as you think you do recovering from a knee replacement!

Excellent quality - but you'll need research for using it well
Update: I've been using this for 2 days now after a total knee replacement surgery; and I can say it is a major improvement for recovery. These pillows should be provided as part of the discharge process after surgery. This would be a 5 Star pillow if there were some directions for using it. It certainly is a great value compared to similar ones for much more cost. _________ Update: There was a pre-op class with handouts for the recovery process; and this drawing shows why this pillow is a much better choice than the DIY method with a rolled up towel. (See drawing - last picture) Original review: ----------------------------------------------- I'm having a total knee replacement in the next couple of months; and I'm trying to get everything ready for my recovery. I do have pre-op appointments soon; but nothing in the take home guide mentioned a recovery pillow. So, I was very interested in trying this one when it showed up in the things I could try from the Amazon Vine program. When it arrived; two things really stood out. Positive: very well made, and functionally comfortable. Negative: Absolutely no instructions, or recommendations for how to use it. I did a quick web search; and did find this information on several sites. "Most orthopedic surgeons recommend sleeping on your back during the initial few weeks after total knee replacement surgery. This position minimizes pressure on the surgical site and promotes proper alignment." There are a lot of different shapes for recovery pillows; and even several similar to this one. For the quality; this one is actually a great deal compared to many from Medical Specialty Suppliers; and some similar ones on Amazon. Having read reviews, and recommendations from the similar pillows; I do think this one will be a great help for my recovery. I plan to take it to one of the sessions to get better detail on how best to use it. So I'm optimistically giving it 4-Stars based on the quality, and design. But, the lack of a guide is at least a 1-Star Minus. I will provide updates once I'm actually in my recovery because this is a major life event; and nothing helps like a first hand account of what to expect.

Inflated quickly
This thing puffed up in a matter of minutes. I had full intention on letting its expand over a day or two but honestly its seemed fine about 20 minutes after unpacking and still looks that way a week later. I got this for my mom who previously had knee surgery and she loves it. The dip in the middle allows for single leg comfort and its not forcing you to keep your leg up extremely high but still providing enough lift for good circulation. The material is soft like velvet and it has a zipper to removed the outer layer for easy washing. Great gift for someone in need or just a comfortable leg pillow honestly.

Compact abd easy
Does not fit large ankle/legs after knee replacement for men. Easy to open package and easy to use.

Good quality construction, though a bit small
TL;DR - smaller than I anticipated, but the quality is reasonable. My wife is scheduled for knee surgery in the not-too-distant future, and I wanted to order one of these to help her stay supported and comfortable, particularly at night. This pillow arrived compressed, but once I unsealed the bag and gave it a minute or two, it sprang to life. The quality was as expected - it has a nice level of firmness, and the upholstery is quite soft. It was a bit smaller than I expected, but I had her lay back and try it out. She found it reasonably comfortable, but because it is relatively small, there are two issues: 1) the center slot fit very tightly around her ankle, 2) because the base is fairly small, it does wobble and I worry that it may tip over at night while she is sleeping. In any event, with knee surgery looming, it will be a good tool to have around to keep her as comfortable as possible. The quality is good, even though it could use to be just a few inches larger.

Works for multiple reasons!
I haven’t had surgery or anything, but I do hyperextend my knee pretty often, and this has actually helped a lot. It keeps my leg in a stationary position without the bulky, restrictive feeling of wearing a brace. I like how snug it fits around the leg so it helps prevent my knee from rolling or twisting while I’m sleeping. The cover comes off, which is super convenient because you can just throw it in the washer. The foam feels thick and sturdy. It is a little smaller than I expected, but it still does exactly what it needs to do. It’s soft to the touch and comfortable, and so far it’s been working great for me. I definitely recommend it.

Extra elevation.
This helps stabilize your leg and foot. It was a bit more narrow than I expected but it still works. The height is also pronounced and it elevates your leg a good amount. This didn't function exactly as I hoped but still works. It is also firm and well made. Definitely gives support and is simple to use, but could be flatter.
