I am a fan of phomemo products and use them for my shipping labels for my little 3d printing crafting business and have wanted a sticker printer for a while so i was excited to see this offered for review. sadly it turns out it's not a traditional sticker printer and is really aimed at the creation of temporary transfers with the "stickers" just being the first half of the design process. the process for making transfers will be quite familiar if you own a craft cutter like cricut with the use of a transfer film applied to the design to allow it to be applied to the skin. prints are in black only being a thermal printer but it included a set of markers than you can colour the designs in and will transfer over when you apply them. it's a very fun item and kids will adore using it with some assistance. the app is a little clunky as with most sticker makers i've tried but is mostly functional. it uses specific materials so you'll also need to buy the branded ones unless someone starts to make compatible third party versions. at £81 i can understand why it would cost this much for the thermal printer itself but because of the narrow use-case it does make it an expensive toy and you'll need to use it often to really get your value for money from it. definitely has a place and does its job surprisingly decently but it's not going to be for everyone.

I bought this for my young nephew to use. Little context everyone around him has tattoos. Well wasn't I just the coolest uncle to be able to draw a design and transfer it to a tattoo. Want a pirate? ok. Want a pirate riding a dragon? sure. Want a pirate riding a dragon doing a battle with a fire truck. Say no more fam, I got you. This thing is a blast. Amazing for kids. Mom approved for easy removal at bath time.

La impresión térmica en negro sale nítida y bastante definida, y el hecho de que no use tinta evita manchas por toda la mesa, cosa que agradecí mucho. El kit viene bastante completo con hojas de dos tamaños y varios rotuladores para dar color, y eso anima a que los críos se curren sus propios diseños y se entretengan un buen rato. El proceso tiene su truco, sobre todo al colocar el papel adhesivo y al mojarlo para transferirlo, pero cuando le pillas el punto el resultado queda bastante aparente y con ese acabado brillante típico de tatuaje temporal. La parte positiva es clara, es una propuesta muy divertida para fiestas, ir al estadio de tu equipo favorito, al concierto con amigos, tardes de lluvia y además estimula bastante la creatividad. La parte negativa es que la duración es limitada, al día siguiente ya empieza a perder intensidad y a pegar pelusilla, y además muchas funciones interesantes de la app están bloqueadas tras suscripción, lo que corta un poco el rollo si quieres más variedad. En resumen, es un juguete creativo que cumple para pasar un par de días entretenidos, siempre que tengas claro que no estás comprando tatuajes profesionales ni algo pensado para durar demasiado.
