I initially bought a 2 oz squirter bottle off Amazon. Would squirter in the area I was fishing plus put some on my jig lure to take scent to bottom. Started to notice fish would show up on my depth finder often tried this. Well I ended buying this gallon to refill my squirter bottle and also what I started doing somethimes was take the cheapest bag of catfood and mix some of this manhaden oil etc..with it in my 5 gallon bucket. When I anchored up I would put a little initially about every 10 - 15 minutes underneath my boat and let the tide carry it. I did this because it was difficult for me to get fresh chum..anyway just about always worked if we had a good tide.. Now I got some of my neighbors using it..lol..it definitely attracts the game fish into the area you fish in. Try it you'll remember what I'm saying here..take care..best wishes...

I use this to mix in with cheap fish feed I get from a local farm store. I soak the fish feed in a 5 gallon bucket for a few hours. Then I use a paddle bit on my drill to mix it up. Now the big pellets are turned into a powder if you dry it. While its wet I add menhaden oil and stir well to make it even. I add other things also like sand or glitter. Then freeze it in Ziploc baggies or plastic Tupperware. I use these in a reusable chum bag in saltwater to draw in bait. It works awesome every time. Very cheap compared to store bought chums. A gallon goes a very long ways.

This is definitely some extremely stinky stuff. I don't know if it actually attracts any fish. But if you spill any on yourself, it will definitely repel potential romantic partners. This stuff is oil - which means that you'll probably notice more of it on the surface of the water around your boat/shoreline than you will under the surface. According to some of my reading, you might be better off with menhaden MILK if you're trying to attract fish. However, if you dip your lures in this stuff, the oily factor also means that they seem to retain some small amount of that oily feel/smell over many casts. Again - not sure if that actually means anything to the fish, because that feel/smell is not water soluble. But this product will definitely put that fishy sense on your lures.

This is quality menhaden oil that can be used in a drip when bottom fishing to attract fish or, as I prefer to dip plastic bass baits in it. It has both oldactoryvand gustatory attraction and when a bass hit s it, he/she lingers a bit and give one a chance to hook the fish. I’ve used it with hundreds of kids and novice women using a Senko like dunking bait rigged “Wacky”without weight on 2-0 circle hooks. It’s do nothing fishing but with with the added attraction of quality menhaden oil, it is extremely effective. As the recent winner of the Bassmaster’s Classic. A half gallon is a lot and used for bass fishing will keep you in fish for years!

It does smell, that’s to be expected… does work on attracting sharks…

I bought this for freshwater for catfish. It didn't seem to help at all. Definitely a strong odor, and the water is definitely lit up with scent. But I noticed no difference in my bites. I'll keep trying in different spots to see if it makes a difference.
