I was really disappointed with this dog flap curtain. I guess I should have read the description in more detail - the size length is under 11 inches by 9.4 inches. It's much too small for our dog flap - which is about 16 inches high. Currently, we cover it with a towel and thought this would be a better option - but of course, my failure to check the size meant that the curtain failed to cover the whole dog flap. Especially as the images on the product description show a big gap at the bottom when this was photographed fitted to a kennel. Essentially, this is a piece of PVC cut in half with velcro tape at the top. It would not be hard to make at a fraction of the cost as lots of hardware stores sell PVC plastic AND velcro. For the price this is expensive. Nevertheless, it was super-easy to install. I just stuck the velcro to one side of the flap and the other bit fitted together. If you've got a small entry / exit space and can't be bothered to make your own curtain, then this will do the job and it IS reasonably thick PVC plastic (although could be thicker) and I doubt it's going to keep out the cold, despite the claim to be insulated. SO, I've not given it 1* as it is functional. Just not functional enough for me!
