They don't include a plastic core, but it's not necessary, as many CC machines don't even use that anymore - the roll just sits inside. For a calculator, the two tabs on the side grip it fine - the core opening is wide enough for them, and the ink doesn't smear. (CC machines are generally laser which generates heat, causing the paper to turn black for the text.)

The quality of this receipt paper is genuinely good. The print comes out clear and crisp, and I appreciate that it is BPA and BPS free for safety. It feeds smoothly into the terminal without jamming, and the rolls are packed neatly. However, I'm giving it 3 stars mainly because of the price point. It works great, but compared to other similar thermal paper options on the market, it feels overpriced for what you get. Good product, but definitely on the expensive side.

Now let's not rule first party paper out as it is very specialized for a task like stickers or colors. I love first party paper. But, for bulk usage for my little one this is a go to. Believe me in her thermal camera kits she has first party paper and now third party paper. Basically, the high commodity paper (2.25 inches x 50 feet) is functionally identical and cross-compatible not only with the thermal cameras we use but also with other household office machines we use, creating a versatile, unified supply. This move drastically lowers the cost-per-roll compared to the specialized camera-specific multi-packs. Finding this success helps with high consumption rates—my daughter has already used 24 rolls in a few months (but she is limiting her use and practice as paper is expensive)—finding a different supply increases value as my little one's usage grows with social activities. The paper is very white and bright and provides hours of activities for the entire network of friends. She brings all the cameras and printers to a get together and everyone has a bit of inexpensive and even STEMI TECHNO fun. To see the group design and color these greyscale prints is just amazing. They all get a little something to take home after their' efforts. I've even seen them make board games out of the paper and devices. Paper size and fit is perfect even in machines I thought would have supply issues. All in all the entire process is fun and practical.
