I have a confession to make, I don't do yoga... but I still love this yoga mat! This is just really useful for a lot of situations. It has a nice thick firm yet forgiving texture to it. It's very durable. I actually originally bought it to use for outdoor mat training for my dog. She's a very large dog and it's hard to find traditional doggy mats that fit her size. This was perfect size for her. She normally uses a blanket indoors and if it's nice out, I'll just use her blanket, but this mat is awesome to keep in the car for when it's a bit wet or messy out. I like that it rolls up pretty tightly with a nice strap and it's fairly resistant to water and chemicals. I found myself busting it out for doing tire changes and working on the brakes on my car. It's just as nice of a knee support pad as it is a dog mat... or yoga mat. It's also nice to use for camping if you're sleeping on rocky ground. Overall I'm really happy with it. It's a high quality product from a great brand. It's definitely a good buy for the money.

This sort of quality is why I love Champion. This is an excellent mat for yoga and floor exercises. It’s nice and soft. It’s also got just the right amount of stretch when needed. The surface provides enough grip that I don’t accidentally do the splits. It’s a great mat at a totally reasonable price. That’s especially true with the handy carry strap included. Super happy I ordered it.

I picked up this yoga mat because I work out indoors quite a bit, and we have pets. I was getting a little tired of exercising directly on the carpet after animals have been laying on it or walking across it with dirty feet. I also thought it might be useful for stretching or light workouts outside now that spring is almost here. The mat itself is thick and comfortable. The 10mm padding provides plenty of cushion, which is nice when you’re doing floor exercises. With a few old injuries and general aches that come with time, the extra padding definitely helps take some pressure off joints like knees and elbows. The surface has a light texture that helps keep you from sliding around, and it stayed put on the stone patio when I tested it outside. The material also seems dense enough that it doesn’t compress down too easily when you put weight on it. It rolls up easily and comes with a strap to keep it closed. The strap uses Velcro-style loops, so you can just wrap it wherever it lands and tighten it down without having to perfectly match the same roll size every time. That’s a nice little detail because you don’t have to fuss with getting the mat rolled to an exact thickness just to secure it. Overall it’s a comfortable mat for stretching, yoga, or general floor exercises, and it solves the problem of not wanting to work out directly on the carpet.

Definitely an improvement over thinner mats. I've had several yoga mats over the years which were made from thinner foam. They were not only increasing less comfortable on my joints but ultimately weren't very durable. This mat is great for older adults because the foam is thick enough to provide comfort and stability especially on the knees, elbows and wrists. It was a noticeable improvement over the mat I replaced which was around 8mm. So far the foam is resilient and the impressions from my elbows and knees disappear quickly (if they leave a mark at all). While I've only had it for a short time, the material also seems more durable than others I've used. Some of my previous mats have eventually cracked and torn, but the material on this one is very supple and I hope it will last. I love the Velcro adjustable strap. I have a hook on the wall which I hang my mat for storage. The strap makes it quick and easy to roll and carry or store the mat. Three things that bought the rating down from 5-stars: 1) Although the mat is extra long which I love, it also feels extra narrow. If you're a larger person, it may not be sufficiently wide to feel comfortable. 2) The price is higher than some other 10mm mats on the market, but Champion is a trusted name in sporting goods, so maybe that's worth the markup? 3) I wish this mat was offered in more color choices. Like exercise clothes, a yoga mat, if in a preferred color/pattern, can reflect your personality and even elevate your mood.

This mat feels like it's made well and the shape is perfect, and the thickness is exactly the 10mm that they advertise. (I tried to show this in my pictures, I'm sorry they aren't very clear.) The material is soft and squishy but still provides a buffer between you and the floor. I have hardwood floors in my house and so I already have dealt with trying to work out on the floor, and since I'm older now my knees REALLY need something like this. I have a section of a room set up with those square foam pieces that lock together like puzzle pieces, but sweat and dust/dirt gets in between them so now with this pad I get twice the protection but I can also then easily wipe this pad off and not have to clean the other squares on the ground, if that makes sense. I've never bought a pad like this, so I'm not sure about pricing, and at first the $33 seemed a bit high, but it is pretty long and portable, and while the 'carrying strap' isn't great it still works so in the end I went with the full 5 Stars.

I am very impressed with the length of this excercise mat. It does feel quite comfortable under my feet, I will say that I used it on carpet, but it did feel a bit more cushiony than just being on the carpet, so I do think that the thickness of it is good. The straps are really easy to attach and carry the mat. I did try to do some of the yoga poses that I have done in the past, Warrior 3, cobra, downward dog, up dog, cat, and cow. I did notice that there were indentions in the mat where my hands, knees, and feet were. I had on pilates socks, but I did not feel like my hands or feet were slidding.

My husband and I don't use excerise mats on as regular a basic as some, but we do need one occasionally even just for our home use. This was a great find, especially for my husband who is well over six feet tall. It's thinner and longer than the last workout type mat I had, which works out really well for our purposes. It's also very thick and cushioned, and so far doesn't slip around at all. The bottom is textured so that definitely helps keep it in one place. The thickness is a nice bonus for those of us who are aging and finding that even basic exercises, yoga positions, etc. aren't as comfortable on some parts of our body as they used to be. This arrived rolled up, but flattened surprisingly well as soon as I unrolled it. It was also very easy to roll back up, and it comes with a completely removable buckled strap that also serves as a handle. I didn't have to work to roll the mat up tightly enough for the strap to go around it and strap on properly, so it 's really quick and easy to set this mat up as well as to put it away when you're done. I do choose to roll it back up so that it just shows plain black mat and not the logo; no offense to Champion but I just don't go for logos being visible whenever possible, regardless of how big a fan of the product I am. Great product and would recommend if you're in the market for a solid exercise mat in this size.
