Can this drive a 200 step motor?

yes, all this does is convert pulses into different voltage pulses (adjusts current) across the stepper motor coils. The driver doesn't care about the steps/revolution of your motor. You can adjust the number of steps per revolution (microsteps x stepper steps/rev). It is up to the users to convert number of pulses into revolutions of motor shaft if you care about absolute position or have a fixed pulse frequency and want a specific RPM.

Can this drive 400 step / 0.9° stepper motors?

This controller is designed for a 400 ppr motor. You can also get much better than .9° resolution by setting the switches. On my mill I use the 800 ppr setting which is a half step or .45°/step. You then need to make adjustments in software or code for 800 ppr vs 400 ppr. I have not used it with higher than 800 ppr or 1/2 step so I don't know how it will work for you.

Can this be controlled using a Raspberry Pi?

I would think with the appropriate hat it could.

Ich hatte mir eine alte, voll funktionsfähige ISEL MCP 2018 gekauft, die kosmetisch noch ziemlich gut in Schuß war. Dennoch ist die gesamte Elektronik dermaßen veraltet, daß man mit keiner üblichen, moderneren SW die Maschine betreiben kann. Die Maschine hab ich vollkommen neu aufgesetzt, ergo neue echte bipolare Motoren, passende Netzteile, richtige Linearschienen mit Laufwagen, neue Treiber, vollkommen neue Elektronik, ein richtiger Spindelmotor, EstlCam-Steuerung, etwas mehr Licht. Vorher hatte ich andere, billigere 542er Treiber drin, die deutlich lautere Laufgeräusche machten, unerträglich fast. Jetzt mit den DM542T sind kaum noch Treibergeräusche zu hören. Die Maschine ist jetzt wahnsinnig stabil, vollkommen neu aufgebaut mit allerhand coolen features. Der Tausch der Treiber hat sich absolut gelohnt.

Haciendo la comparativa de un TB6600 frente a este DM542T, el cambio en cuanto al sonido es muy notable, no es completamente silencioso como puede ser un TMC2208, pero muy adecuado para este tipo de drivers. Tras unas cuantas horas de uso continuo apenas se ha calentado nada, en cambio el motor si lo ha hecho y bastante, de todos modos nada que no puedas esperar. Muy recomendable si estas pensando en sustituir tu antiguo TB6600

Controla perfectamente los motores, el único inconveniente que le veo es el tamaño de la fuente para utilizarla con motores pequeños, pero la resolución de los pasos y el manejo de corriente es excelente.
