Another home run by MISINI. This is my 3rd set from this brand. The pieces are almost as good as LEGO brand. Pieces connected well, no need to use glue. Instructions are excellent and clear. With 1,377 pieces for $70 its about half the price of what LEGO would have charged. Yes, $70 is a lot of money for a non-Lego brand set. However you're getting a lot of pieces and the instructions are top notch. This company has come a long way and is now giving Lego a run for their money, especially on the military sets. The only other drawback is this helicopter doesn't play features - No flick fire missiles, etc. The only thing that moves are the 2 sets of propellers. Speaking of the main rollerblades, they are long solid pieces of plastic. They are not Legos building blocks but actual blades of plastic making them very sturdy. Surprisingly the weakest point of the helicopter isn't the rotor. The weak point is the long antenna protruding from the nose and then the weapons mounted underneath the wing stubs because they're only connected by a few studs. Fortunately the building block quality is pretty good so it's not exactly a flimsy build. Just keep it away from children because if it drops, it will shatter into more pieces than my heart after a breakup.

This is my second helicopter set from MISINI (after their Super Cobra), and this UH-60 Black Hawk is an impressive step up in size and detail with the higher piece count. The finished build looks very close to the listing photos and captures the overall fuselage shape really well, so it makes a strong display piece once completed. The brick quality is solid—pieces fit tightly, the model feels sturdy, and the parts are compatible with LEGO. Everything comes in numbered bags that keep the stages organized, and the instruction book is a thick, clearly laid out matte-finish manual that’s easy to follow. I also really appreciate that the decorations are printed instead of stickers. A few standout details: the sliding side door with a seating compartment adds a lot of realism, the brick-built main rotors keep a slimmer profile (and avoid the bowing you sometimes get with long molded blades), and the included display stand is a nice bonus—especially with the ratcheted hinge so you can tilt the helicopter for a more dynamic display. If I had one nitpick, it’s the cockpit windscreen area—some of the clear pieces show exposed tubes/anti-studs, and I think darker transparent pieces might have looked cleaner there. Still, that’s minor compared to how good the overall build looks. This is best viewed as an adult/hobby display build, not a rough-and-tumble kids toy. For military aircraft fans or anyone who enjoys detailed brick models, it’s a great build.

I haven't had the chance to complete this build yet but I'm confident enough in this brand to complete this review. I'm currently working on a different build by this brand actually and it's one of the largest builds I've completed to date. And is also military themed. We have a massive building brick collection from all different brands with a focus on military themed builds here recently. We have a display of them as well as a collection in my son's room that he plays with and displays. There are over five different builds from this brand in our displays and none of them have disappointed. It comes packaged up beautifully with a box that is worthy of gifting. All of the pieces are bagged and numbered according to steps. The instruction books are clear and easy to follow, telling you which bags to open as well as having a few pages in the front dedicated to detailing the design and facts about the real black hawk. The pieces are well made and snap together as they should. I have yet to encounter any missing pieces, although I do wish they came with a handful of extra pieces. The stickers apply nicely and are the transfer type, which I personally prefer. I know some people do not. All in all, this brand has really nice, detailed builds and I'm always happy with them!
