I purchased this jewelry boxy for granddaughter's 13th birthday. She absolutely loved it! It is so girly, yet with a grown-up elegant flair! This jewelry boxy is so perfect for a new teen! It is so beautifully styled and even plays Fur Elise. My granddaughter just loved it!

My 5 year old has wanted a ballerina music box for a year now. At Christmas, she meticulously chose a cardboard, heart shaped one that was sold out online and that I kept my eye on to come back in stock. As her 5th birthday approached, I decided I wanted to get her one with more longevity that provided a possibility of still being around when she is older.Her grandmother also purchased her a music box, one of the cardboard ones, which she liked also. After two weeks, I’ve noticed this one has come out the favorite. I can’t say why that is, but it really is a beautiful box. The ballerinas inside are never that “nice” but I was proud of the purchase and fully intend to get another for my other baby’s upcoming birthday, as she enjoys music boxes also and deserves to have a beautiful, long lasting one as well.Conclusion? Worth the money. Much better made than the cardboard and plastic ones (which are already coming apart after two weeks of light use). Those are nice beginning boxes but if you’re just going to have to replace them or have a disappointed baby, why not just get the nicer one to start with?

This comes in a nice box, tissue wrapped inside. The finish is flawless. It has a divider inside for the smaller items which is holds plenty. That lifts to reveal a larger compartment. The music and little dancer is beautiful and high quality. Unless my child does anything too crazy with it, I’m sure it will last for a very long time. This is leaps and bounds better than all the others that are merely cardboard nowadays. They should make a larger one if they don’t already. I love the nostalgia and genuinely elegant princess feeling you get from this item. It made for an amazing 6th birthday present!100% something you would love to give and receive as a gift. It’s a real showstopper.

We decided my daughter was old enough to get her ears pierced this year at the age of 7, and now that she's old enough for that responsibility she wanted a 'big girl' jewelry box and not a cheap toy one to keep her new earrings in. We chose this one together, and while it is a bit expensive for a child's jewelry box it is absolutely beautiful and well-made as you would expect from the Lenox company. It has a real 'heirloom' quality and we plan on taking good care of it so we can hand it down to the next generation.My only issue is that some of the little compartments in the upper tray are very narrow and small - I can barely get my fingers in them but my daughter thankfully has a much easier time. The upper tray lifts out to reveal one large open area underneath for storing larger items or in our case some of the small boxes that her earrings came in.The Fur Elise tune that it plays is very sweet and true to the song although a bit on the loud side, my daughter doesn't seem to mind though and is happy to sit and listen to it for a long time.

Was a little hesitant to order based on so many reviews about the music and ballerina not working. My package arrived very promptly, box is beautful and very well made but unfortunately, the music doesn't play and the ballerina does not turn. If you touch her, she will spin maybe 1/4 of the way. Very disappointed 8 year old who received it as a gift. She was soooo excited when she opened it but her excitement left very quickly. Have to say, Amazon return policy is wonderful. They are shipping out a new one before I even return the old one. I have 30 days to get the original one back. Keeping my fingers crossed that the replacement one will work. If it does work, I would give the product 4 stars, if it doesn't work, I will change the review to 1 star. UPDATE: Amazon shipped the replacement box using one day shipping and I received it today and the new jewelry box works! It is beautiful and I love it and can't wait to give it to my Goddaughter.

Just purchased this for my daughter 7th bday. Just recieved it today and its beautiful!! I wanted to give my daughter something more sentimental/personal/ for her birthday and this fit the bill. I remember as a child recieving wound up music box from my mom and i treasured it for many years! I know my daughter will too! She does ballet n i know she will love the dancing ballerina.Of all the ones i saw on amazon for the price i wanted to spend this one was the best. Its not to small. It has a top layer drawer and for more space u lift up top drawer n there's more room on the bottom. It comes with a real mirror not like a plastic kind.love the fact that its a lenox piece. So it has a timeless look to it. It seems sturdy enough and good quality to last for many years. All others on amazon ive seen look like toys. This one is definetly not a toy. Inside is pink felt and bottom of jewlry box is also pink felt. Came nicely packaged.Ive also purchased some jewelry and will place it in box, so my daughter will see jewelry already in box as she opens it. Cant wait for her to see it.
