Easy set up, spacious and tall.
We originally bought this for our first ever family camping trip. We visited Ohio to view the Solar Eclipse, to witness totality! That was April 8th 2024. At the time our kids were 2 yrs, 8 yrs, 10 yrs. The entire family was able to sleep in the same tent, get dressed standing up, and store the randoms in the tent. That is space for 4 sleeping pads and a playpen. There was still room! We felt silly at first, we had pulled it out to test the set up before our trip. It was so huge! This is definitely for families or the glampers because it’s an easy set up, spacious, you feel a bit spoiled….but it is heavy. If you need to hike to campsite GET A WAGON! But well worth it. Our first camping trip my husband and I bickered about how heavy it was as we hiked it to our first campsite hahah. Since then….we’ve gone on many camping trips to the lakes, beaches, etc. This is a purchase that I’ll never regret. It’s 2026 and we are planning our family summer. My husband and I didn’t get to grow up camping, our families could not even afford that. I know most people say it’s a cheaper vacation but some families truly do not even get that much. We feel truly blessed and this was an investment in our family bond. If you are on the fence, new, spoil yourself a bit. Make those memories. It’s so much funnier to argue about the snoring and raccoons scuttling about. You’ll sleep like a baby and can take the top off to watch the stars. I can’t say what it’s like during heavy rain or intense wind but it has faired well during a gentle rainy day.

Great Tent - Great Quality
Just back from our first weekend outting with this tent. The tent is so large that there is a bit of a learning curve to get it setup especially without stepping on the fabric to reach the center hubs and such. But: I can have this tent setup by my self in 10 minutes, not including staking it. I can have it taken down and in the bag in 15 minutes. The ground vents are a real life saver and if you position the tent properly it will have a nice breeze coming in one side and out the other leaving you cool while you sleep. We actually got colder than expected both nights thanks to these vents - other tens just don't breathe as well. Do yourself a favor and buy some decent stakes, the ones that come with it work - but they're pretty cheap and bend easily in rocky dirt. The bag is generously sized and the tent fits in it easily. I do with the 2 straps they include to wrap/tie the bundle were more than just 2 rope things. Maybe something with buckles/clasps? I hate tying and untying knots and it bothers me more than it should - but it does get the job done. The rain fly is super easy to attach, but be careful popping off the connectors they've got a bit of spring to them and might smack you in the head - guess how I know? All in all I am very happy with the tent and plan to have many years of use out of it.

Quick and easy to assemble for a family of four
Just used for the first time this weekend. Had to set this tent up twice in the same day. Setup, tear down, and setup again due to having to move to a different camp sight because of rising river and no outlet. Glad I bought a tent that was so quick and easy to assemble. Takes a couple of people. We had our kids help and it was very quick and easy. Because this tent comes preassembled, it slightly heavier than others. Though the extra weight is worth the fast setup. It’s a solid tent. Great design and like how outside air comes in from underneath the tent when all windows are closed. We set up four twin sized air mattresses inside without issue. Perfect for a family of four who all want to sleep on separate air beds. Nice tall ceilings allow walking around inside without crouching down. I like how there is a feeder hole for an extension cord. That made running power for the air beds easy. There are plenty of built in pockets for personal items too. We all had our own. We hung a battery operated LED lantern from the supplied middle ceiling hook, which provided plenty of light. It rained the first night and this tent kept us all dry. No issues. I did buy quality tent stakes for extra strength though. I also used an 18’x10’ thick PVC waterproof tarp under the tent as well. I anchored that down first. Just like anything else, if setup properly, it’s a great tent. We look forward to our next trip. I fully recommend this tent.

Best tent I've ever bought
I bought this tent before we went on a camping vacation to Rapid City. The size of the tent is fantastic...there were four of us so we each had our own "end" of the tent since it can be divided into 3 sections with the partitions. We had a queen camp bed on one side and a queen inflatable mattress on the other side which left the center area open for storing supplies/totes, changing clothes, sitting in chairs, etc. The tent is tall enough to stand in comfortably and there are zip doors on both sides which is nice. We used a tarp underneath the tent to prevent any tears to the bottom and it also prevented moisture buildup under the tent so we could pack it up without concerns of getting the whole tent wet or molding. It was VERY easy to put up. You could probably do it with one person, if you had to, but it was very easy with two people. The tent poles extend and lock into place so a short person like me had no trouble. It is a large tent so it is heavy when it is in the bag but I could carry it by myself, with some effort. We usually have trouble stuffing our cheap tents back into their bags but this tent folds up easily and fit in the bag without hassle. We didn't have any rain so I can't comment on the weather proofing but we always use a rain repellent spray on the seams of our tents regardless. The tent seems to be well made...stitching looks well done. I think it will last a long time, with good care. I am very happy with this purchase!! We love having a big tent where we can bring chairs in to hang out if the weather is bad and we aren't all tripping over each other inside. Very roomy for 4 people.

Buy The Twelve Person - Close In Price and Just As Easy To Pitch!
The best yet in every way. The 12 person is big, but it is just as easy to set up, and you will appreciate the extra space! We have been using these "instant tents" since they first came out about 20 years ago, and they are real game changers. Coleman had one, and then they upgraded it to a slightly better one. We used them both, but this CORE 12 person model is so much lighter, very stable through all kinds of weather, easy to erect ..... we are pleased in every way. I am 71 years old and i set it up by myself quite easily. Unlike the Colemans, it never leaks in one little drop. (My only request would be some kind of easy flappable velcroed door, but the current zipper design works just fine.)

I did it by myself!
This was my first time ever putting up a tent! It took me about 75 minutes! I have never put one up before! This was really simple & straight forward to do! Watch the videos if you get stuck. ( I’m writing about the 12 person tent. In green/gray). It’s nice looking! I ‘m a 50 something yo mom & Im 5’4 inches tall with no previous experience. So if I can do it anyone can. You do need to have some kind of reasonable strength tho. It took me longer to get the thing out of the shipping box! Lols.. Then there’s another box that says Core, then the zippered bag. Everything came nicely packed with foam padding to protect all the joints and points on the rods. Everything arrived in perfect condition. The tent I received has a footprint or floor that is already attached. It is not removable. All the zippers function perfectly. Just be careful on the bottom of the doors where the rain flap is so it doesn’t get caught. If you’re doing this by yourself follow the instructions to spread the tent out all the way on a flat surface. Then pull the elbows out and hold the last one as you move around to the other side to open the others. (It’s structured something like a mini fold up umbrella . ). Each elbow kind of locks into place if you’re doing it right. When you’ve got all the elbows up put the top rain shield on. Then extend & push each leg up to its full locking position. Alternate sides & anchor each point so the wind doesn’t take it. It’s a huge tent which can fit 2 queen size beds, or a blowup sofa a queen bed and a small table & chairs. I’ll lay a patio mat down to protect the floor & make it more cozy. I love that it has lots of windows with rain flaps that roll down & bottom air vents for cooler air to come in. BUt what’s awesome is that it has a door on each side. A double door & a single door. This tent will be a great addition to our 27 ft airstream & will serve its purpose for a hangout space with the teens & our two 75 lb dogs without getting eaten up by mosquitos. Great job Core! I love it!

What a great tent!!
We are a large family (2 adults 5 kids) and needed a tent that could house us all now that our older two are in their teen years. Boy, did this tent deliver! I was a bit weary of the “instatent” aspect because I’ve camped in pole tents my entire life. Some of the reviews were concerning and gave me pause but I am grateful I gave it a chance. It took my husband and I twenty minutes to put it up the first time. We get faster each time we do it and continue to marvel how simple it is to both set and tear down this tent. We are down to about 5 minutes. As for people complaining about a tablespoon of rain getting into their tent….COME ON!! You’re in a tent! No tent is completely rain proof. We survived two thunderstorms that were quite violent (30 mph winds, thunder lightning, driving rain). We had to put the rainfly on in the dark because the rain wasn’t forecast therefore was a complete surprise. However, due to the simplicity of how you put it on and that we practiced putting it on, we had no problems getting it on. What we liked about the tent: * It’s huge! My husband is 6’3” and dome tents are a pain for him since he has to continually stoop. * The air vents are amazing for air flow. Even when it rained we stayed dry but we’re able to maintain adequate airflow so we didn’t get stifling hot with the windows closed. * The amount of windows in this tent is amazing. I especially love the screened ceiling. Star gazing is quite a thing in this tent. *Once you figure it out and practice set up and tear down are SO easy!!! One word of caution: MIND YOUR FINGERS!! My husband got his caught in the central hub the first time we tore this down and it got smashed pretty hard. * Other than the Tbsp of water that got in from the gap in the T door (which I think is an acceptable amount from a violent storm in a tent) we stayed bone dry! * I had concerns about the integrity of the structure due to the bed reviews I read. However, I can tell you that this tent will stand up to strong winds. This is a strong tent. What could be improved: *The front T door zipper is kind of a let down. Where the three zippers come together at the bottom leaves a gap (see pic). They did a nice job providing flaps that should cover the gap so water doesn’t get in (spoiler alert: it does but only about a tablespoon or so). However, the flap does nothing to address the issue of unwanted guests. This was blatantly obvious to me when we set it up at home before taking it out. During this trip, I sprayed it with bug spray which kind of worked (ants still got in). I am thinking about zip tying all three zippers together and finding some way of just sealing that hole permanently so it’s one giant window unless I can find another way to fix this. * The rainfly straps hook onto the pole under the green lock/collapse button. During the second thunderstorm, the wind pushed the strap around the rest on top of that button collapsing that pole mid storm. Perhaps putting that button on the underside of the pole is a more appropriate location? *This tent does come with what we call “flimsy ass stakes.” We bought beefier stakes for the tent as we found the extra cost saved us in energy and frustration. (Hint, use the cheap stakes for other things like staking your collapsible garbage can). *While putting the tent away and into its bag, one of the clips had a piece break off (see pic). It still clips and holds but, this is a new clip and shouldn’t be breaking like that already. Thumbs down! Since this was our first outing, I am somewhat limited in experience with this tent. I will add/edit this review as I used this tent further.

awesome tent! I didn't expect it to be so much more roomy than the 10 person but its really large on the interior. easily fits 2 queen air mattresses with lots of space in the middle. very easy set up and it has doors on both sides with 2 little dirt mats and awnings. love this tent!
