I can't give 5 stars. The material feels very similar to what covers a grill and ends up breaking down from exposure to the sun. I can't rate what will happen in the future. I just don't feel that it will last long. The fit is fine. The price was okay. It appears to offer water resistance. We'll see.

I installed this cover on my outdoor wall mounted EV charging station to shield it from intense July heat and sudden downpours. During a severe thunderstorm last night, the waterproof exterior kept the entire charging block and the docked cable completely dry. The silver lining also works well at deflecting direct afternoon sunlight, which keeps the equipment noticeably cooler during peak temperature hours. The elastic hem slips over the unit easily, and the adjustable buckle strap secures the bottom so it does not blow away during high winds. I am rating this four stars because the material is quite thin and feels similar to a lightweight windbreaker rather than a thick canvas cover. While it handles regular rain and sun excellently right now, the thinner fabric makes me wonder how it will fare after months of continuous UV exposure. It is an affordable and practical solution for everyday outdoor protection.

Pros: - nice and stretchy - strap on the reverse Cons: - no hole for cables - relatively cheap/thin material This is a protector for sideways rain. I wouldn't rely on it for chargers mounted on posts or without any overhang over top. You don't want this being the sole item between your charger and a downpour, but for protecting against splashes and incidental sideways rain, it's just fine. Or just to cover up annoying always on lights. The flimsy material won't do much, and I do worry about sticking a black item over something that already produces a lot of heat.
