I was concerned about the reset button and my power connector hanging out in the weather on my poe camera. This cleaned up the look and make it a little harder to cut the cables.

I bought this junction box expecting it to work with my Hiseeu camera, but it doesn’t fit at all. The mounting holes don’t line up, and there’s no easy way to adjust it. 

This would probably be a decent mounting bracket. However, the mounting holes are located such that the camera blind spot is off center. For my application, it will still work fine. I contacted customer service and they are looking into correcting it. Customer service was quick to respond and helpful.

This product is a 4.7 inch white round aluminum box with wire port and a removable aluminum cover with wire port, mounting template, mounting screws and drywall anchors, gasket, and wire port plug. The product is packaged in bubble wrap within a brown cardboard box. See attached detail photographs of product removed from packaging with a pop can as a size reference. Although my video surveillance camera operates on a single small cable including power (Power over internet), I still don't like the idea of a wire dangling down from the camera. Enter this product! The 4.7 inch size of this round aluminum junction box has ample room for excess wire, meaning there is no need for me to cut the wire to shorten it to go to the camera. This is an advantage, because the end of the wire was already fitted with an Ethernet connector by the builder of the house. With this box, the coil of excess wire will easily fit inside the box for a cleaner look and improved tamper resistance (difficult to cut the cable which is within the mounting stem of the camera and will go directly into the box), and also because I will use tamper-resistant screws for the cover. The cover of the product is interesting because it is cast with screw holes for many camera base configurations. The screw holes are capped on the inside, meaning water and bugs cannot enter the box from unused screw holes. For the holes that you wish to use, self-drilling sheet metal screws are an option, though I will drill them in order to use more tamper-resistant screws to mount the camera. The product includes a silicone gasket that installs between the underside of the lid and the base, ensuring moisture does not collect inside the box. Also included is a silicone plug for unused ports on the base. There is one port on the bottom and one port on the side. The base can be rotated before installation to have the side port in an optimal position for your installation. In summary, this product presents a flexible solution for cleanly mounting a surveillance camera, and improves cord management and its security at the same time. I am glad I ordered it.

I installed a JideTech-style metal junction box mount bracket for a bullet camera, and honestly it’s one of those small accessories that makes a huge difference in how clean and professional your setup looks. The biggest advantage is the cable management. Instead of having wires exposed or stuffed awkwardly into the wall, everything gets tucked neatly inside the box. That not only looks better, but it also helps protect cables from weather and damage, which is important for outdoor installs. Many of these metal junction boxes are specifically designed to hide and secure wiring for surveillance systems, giving a cleaner and safer installation Build quality is surprisingly solid for the price. The one I used is aluminum/metal, not cheap plastic, so it feels sturdy and holds the camera securely. It’s also usually IP65/IP66-style weather-resistant, meaning it can handle rain and outdoor conditions without issues.

This mount worked fine on old Jidetech dome camera but does not fit updated as they call it Jidetech dome camera new camera seems very good except I need a wall mount bracket, waiting for supplier to get me a wall mount bracket so I can use camera till then it is sitting on kitchen counter of no use. Will update review when this problem is resolved

This product does NOT fit my Jide Tech Dome PTZ camera. The screw holes do not line up—not even close!

These metal junction boxes are solidly built and well suited for mounting bullet or dome security cameras outdoors.
