I was surprised how small 1.8x1.2x0.7-in is. The description was clear, but they are little. The material is very clear and you can see the specimans very well. Being a third grade teacher, I like how sturdy they are. My children won't be able to break or crack the material (though I'm afraid they may find their way into someone's pockets!). My students were very excited to be able to hold these creatures in their hands. I love how I can show off sea creatures without the ocean smell and sand permeating everything!

Just as pictured! All of the specimens were in individual zip lock type baggies with an identification card. (in a different language than English, so i couldn't read it well, but still, easy enough to use Google lens and find out!) They were in perfect condition when received. I'm unsure how ethically they were collected or not, but these are beautiful specimens to teach children about different sea creatures, and let them "hold" the creatures without having to hop on a plane to go to an ocean or drive several hours to visit an aquarium. The specimens are beautiful!
