I took a star off for poor packaging. This item should be shipped on a cardboard backing. More below. This card is huge. It does measure 10 inches long and 8 inches wide like the listing describes. I think it’s fun to give someone a large card but that’s personal preference. The stickers it comes with are very festive and are the best part, IMO. It’s great that there are four of them. My other favorite element is the message on the back of the card that says “The most dazzling person born this year is YOU!” I would definitely circle that or point that out to the recipient. I say that because a lot of older people get bummed out about their birthdays, and this card *really* emphasizes how much time has passed since they were born. The card has a lot of facts and trivia about the year that the recipient was born. It is blank on the inside. I think it would be nice if it had a heartfelt message but it’s meant for you to write your own. Because of the nature of the card, I wouldn’t get this for someone who I am really close with unless I wanted to roast them.😅 Now on to the packaging. The card comes in a self sealing cellophane bag, which is good. But it really needs to be shipped with a cardboard backing to avoid damage. Mine came with bends and wrinkles. There was a small wrinkle on the front that I wasn’t able to get to show up on camera. The listing says that you can get a refund or replacement if it arrives damaged but why not avoid the problem altogether? It creates hassles and brings down their rating.😖 All that being said, the price point is fantastic, IMO. I would suggest selecting the gift option at checkout if it will improve the packaging quality.

This 8x10 card came with a bright yellow envelope to hold it, and the envelope was thicker than the usual greeting card envelope, which I liked. I sent it to a good friend for a little birthday surprise, due to its unusually large size for a greeting card. Due to the extra weight and size, first class postage inside USA was $1.90 These cards would be great for any age recipient.

Suitable for a man or a woman or any gender, really! If they were born in 1941 this is the card for them this year. It is oversized, with a bright yellow envelope. So you're probably going to need extra postage to put this in the mail! The envelope is not gummed, but they do provide 4 different round stickers that could be used to seal the envelope for mailing. The envelope has a slot to insert the flap into and is sturdy thick slightly shiny yellow cardstock (not thin paper). The front of the card has a huge 85 as shown, and on the back is a list of various things that were in vogue or happened in 1941, like what things cost, who won the World Series and other fun trivia. Inside - totally blank. So if you are inviting a bunch of folks over for a surprise party for the 85-year-old-to-be, there's plenty of room for LOTS of folks to write a few lines expressing their best wishes. That will be the crowning touch to make this card one they will keep and revisit the fun they had on their birthday and all the people there to wish them well. You will not find an oversized card like this at the grocery store - and yet they will charge you more there than you will pay on Amazon for this one. I am very satisfied with this item and plan to look for other "milestone" cards from them as the need arises!
