I like the steam mode, it make your food taste better but it is expensive. Also, it has some wired smell after the baking mode. you need to refill the water in an hour in the steam mode which I don’t like.

This thing is very nice and convenient. In fact, it is difficult to find a reason to tell people why I need such an expensive combi-oven, rather than a $30 steamer pot or a $10 steamer rack. Although I have a steamer pot and a steamer rack, this steamer brings you a very different feeling. The reason for this purchase is like that many people can obviously use ordinary pot to stew meat, but they still need to buy a pressure cooker. I have researched many so-called steam ovens, but many of them are ovens with a water tank and sprays mist. But this one is a real steamer. The kind of steamer you can see on the food channel. Robam is a very good brand in China. The brand is very famous in the steam oven, stove, and range hood. That's another reason I chose Robam. This oven is very good for steaming vegetables, fish and meat. And it is very convenient, I don’t have to take out a pot and pour water before steaming and I don't have to clean the pot and brush several layers of a pot. All I need to do is just fill the water tank when needed and clear the oven as needed. And there is no water dripping from the lip like steamer to the top of the food, so I can make very good the steamed buns with it. The non-stick steamer pan is awesome! Oh, almost forget. it is also a great oven for baking! The steam-baking mode is a different way of cooking.

Ladies and Gents, welcome to the future of cooking. Robam convection/steam oven is not just your ordinary oven. Everything from the packaging, to the materials used are top notch in quality. The touch screen display is beautiful and extremely user friendly. I especially love the contemporary look which blows any of the competitors out of the water. Ever since the Covid-19 pandemic happened, I've been using this oven every day and experimenting different recipes. The cooking temperatures are precise and the food comes out 100% perfect every time (pictures speak for itself). Cleaning is effortless since the steam feature practically dissolves any grease in the oven - no harsh chemicals needed! If you are reading this and is on the fence, do yourself a favor and buy it. Modern design with great steaming functionality - has been easy to use and clean. (Original five star from Nov 2020) Updated one-star review on Aug 30, 2021 - after 10 month of light usage, the steam oven suddenly could no longer produce steam (due to water not being able to flow through steam inlet, and instead leaking towards the bottom of the oven). This in turn makes this a counter-top oven with air-frying capability (with the convection choice), which one could easily get for $200 on Amazon. Therefore, not recommending this due to quality control problems.

I received the oven yesterday and followed the manual to heat it up in “convection” mode before the first use. But there is an unpleasant plastic smell coming out. I later found out the smell comes from the black sealing ring on the glass door. My main concern is the material of this ring and if it would cause healthy problem. I already asked that question in product page and hope to get a satisfying answer. If the smell goes away with time I might give higher rate for this oven. But if the answer was not good I might have to send back this product. Update on 12/30: I returned the oven because I got no reply from the merchant and the smell remains there. The return process was smooth.

This steam oven worth every single dollar! I have been using this steam oven everyday from reheating food to making meals. This steam oven has the convection fan and dual grill function which allows me to make delicious chicken roasting. Check out this roasted duck I made with this steam oven. I marinated the duck overnight. 55 minutes dual grill function at 400 F. For the last 10 minute, I switched to steam / grill to retain juice in the meat. The duck meat turns out to be extremely juicy and tender. Not dry at all.

Love it, no major problem. The size is good. This is our first steamer oven. It does use a lot more water than expected and there is an annoying beep when I push the button. The steam comes out in the bottom corner, easy to empty out the water at end of cooking.
