A must buy if you have a couple of bucks to burn
Best golf purchase I have made in a while!!! Love this thing on the course, the only thing that I wish was that the green mapping tool came without a subscription and was auto loaded.

Garmin Approach G82
This is the bomb range finder. I've had several in the past, but this one has beat them all. I love the battery life, magnetic back, and all the great features it has. Very accurate distances verified by my laser range finder. It keeps score well and advances holes without any issues. It's shot measuring and bag inventory are superb. I haven't used it as a launch monitor yet, but it has the capability.

Just not a reliable or easy thing to use, actually a pain in the butt
I bought regardless of reviews to try myself and the results were disappointing to say the least. Button reaction very slow , sometimes not at all. Screen is indeed dull and integrating with phone and capturing data is so unreliable I decided to return it for the pricey features that do work still not worth it.

Top Notch Garmin GPS!!!
Just bought this and it worked great after one round of golf! Also did some bag mapping on the range. This device will definitely improve your game! Can't wait to use it again😄

Lacks obvious functionality to push grip tags.
It’s a great unit, except they don’t have a function where you can tell the unit what club you’re hitting on the course and have it track your round, unless you buy the things that attach to the grips. They did not allow for the obvious to track golf rounds on the device cause they wanted to sell the grip tags. Garmin executives are more smart than wise. Makes this device second rate.
