It does not appear to stop other pollutants as it looks like a physical barrier, not a fabric type filter. It's light but I find it more difficult to hold a cigarette hanging from the lip so this is a very good thing. I put the cigarette in an ashtray when not inhaling, reducing amount of smoke. Taste is unchanged but you do have to drag harder. You don't really notice these when in use so that's good. Overall, feel like these can only reduce some of the harm so very good.
