After having installed and put up a new workshop in my backyard I wanted to do some nice custom wiring which included pass through usb, Ethernet and HDMI through the wall. I saw this pass through adapter designed for RVs and decided to give it a try to see if I could make it use in the workshop. It works beautifully well, has a very minimal footprint and provides the same high-speed data transfer pass through that any other standard patch cord provides. I do appreciate the fact that it has fairly sturdy screw mounting points as I've dealt with others before that simply snap off if you over tighten it even in the slightest. This one's now a permanent fixture in the workshop and I'm already planning on picking up a few more similar adapters.

Nice 1 foot USB-C to panel mount USB-A 3 cable. It works well. Speeds seem unaffected by having it inline. Much more tidy than snaking a cable through an enclosure opening. Perfect for microprocessor projects with USB-C in an enclosure.
