Good little DAC amp, but don’t expect a night and day difference
I bought this AIYIMA DAC A7 to use with my headphones and also to see if it can improve the sound from my phone/computer setup. Overall, I think it is a good product for the price. The build quality feels nice, the size is compact, and it is easy to connect and use. Bluetooth connection was also simple, and I like that it has both 3.5mm and 6.35mm headphone output. The sound is clean and a little warmer than just plugging directly into my device. Vocals sound smooth and it is comfortable to listen for long time. I also feel the volume power is pretty good, especially for a small desktop unit. But honestly, I was expecting a bigger sound difference. It does improve the sound, but not like suddenly everything becomes amazing. Maybe it depends on the headphone or source music quality. With my setup, the improvement is there, but it is more subtle than dramatic.Still, for the price and the features, I think this is a solid DAC amp. If someone wants a small desktop DAC with Bluetooth and headphone amp, this is a good choice. Just keep your expectation realistic.

The A7 DAC is awesome!!
This DAC is everything it was advertised to be. It has great sound and is easy to use. I took it out of the box, plugged the RCA outputs into my stereo, connected my phone to the usb port, plugged in the power and turned it on. It automatically selected the usb input. It works flawlessly with my pixel 6a. The DAC remembers the last volume level so even if you move the volume knob when it's off it returns to the same volume. It drives my Monolith M1060 headphones with no problem, could play them loud enough to blow out my eardrums if I wanted to, but I don't :-)This unit can drive your headphones or your stereo amp, and the front panel switch is handy to switch between the two. This unit has a separate usb power input which is a very useful feature if you connect your phone or tablet to it because you phone doesn't have to power the DAC. I was using a logitech bluetooth adapter connected to my stereo before I got the A7 and it sounded ok but I thought maybe it was time to replace my stereo. I decided to try the A7 and it makes a huge difference, my stereo sounds great again. I you need a great headphone DAC/amp or need a DAC for your stereo you won't go wrong with the A7. One more thing, it's well built, solid aluminum case and front/back panels. It's like a high end DAC on a beer budget!

Great bang for the buck and all that I wanted
So far, I’ve only been using this for three weeks or so, but it has functioned great for my needs. I tried three different the ACs before this. The first was lower power output than I needed, the second was another AIYIMA and it was a couple of decibels quieter on one side compared to the other and I was unable to make an adjustment in my computer to correct this or I would’ve kept it. The third one was a Fosi K5 Pro and it had the same issue, but also an obnoxious frequency response curve that was intolerable for mixing or even recreational listening. This unit appeared and I decided to try it out. Its frequency response is flat as expected, detailed and soundstage feels spacious. I use it for headphone mixing when away from my interface, and it’s slightly crisper than the interface (Presonus Quantum). I also use the line outs to a pair of monitors and find them to be balanced and spacious. The only annoyance I find is that the volume control takes a silly amount of turning to affect the volume much. It definitely gets plenty loud for my headphone needs and I’ve other ways to control the volume there, but when watching a show through the monitors I’m compelled to reach for the knob if a volume change is needed and it’s a bit too low a ratio or whatever for my tastes.Given the price point, I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop so to speak, but am hoping to get years of use out of the DAC as it fits my needs perfectly and seems an excellent value for the money. If anything changes I’ll be back to update my review.

Solid unit.
Solid all metal case. DAC is a def improvement over my cheap CD player. Works as intented.Could use RCA inputs but it is a tiny unit. OP amps swapable keep in mind it is a thin case and tall op amps may not fit.

not bad for the money
I give three stars not that it’s not good it wasn’t what I expected. I purchased this because of the DAC but my Dragon Fly Black sounds. So much better I thought the headphone Amp would be a plus and for some people probably not for me. So sending it back.

Attractive and quality sound for cheap.
I think this little amp is the most visually appealing thing you can get at the price point for desk setups. Super satisfying switches to flip and the front. I use an 80ohm headset with them and this can make them as loud as a speaker. Sound quality is excellent via the usb-C port. If I lost it somehow I would immediately buy again.

Use it with a good quality headphone
This is a fantastic value, it transmits a very clean and detailed lossless bluetooth. The dac provides a wide sound stage with strong bass. The overall sound is very pleasing. I found out that it works best with a power supply of 5v with amp rating of over 2 amp, I run it with a 5 v/5 amp Lenovo ps. It sounds better after a few hours of break in. Enjoy....

Requires a Power Supply
Just a heads up, you'll need a 5 Volt DC ≥2 amp power supply with a USB C connector or cable to run this. Works great once you meet those requirements! Solid sound for a low price (compared to other DACs)
