Extremely sturdy and a great buy.
It holds everything I need for my photo class. All my photo paper and my binder fits very nicely in it with room to spare.

Sturdy & An Excellent Fit
I ordered this to store some century-old 16 x 20 hand-tinted photographs. I had read reviews of some other boxes which caused me concerned as to whether the dimensions were interior or exterior, crucial when the stuff to be stored is so close to the nominal dimensions of the storage. As it turns out, the photos fit very well, without much room to slosh around, and the 3 inch height allowed me to store several domed photos in it as well.

The best known, most long-lasting line, most sturdy -- not least expensive. If you can, I highly recommend -- esp. for treasure e.g. antique photographs. Amything more I could write would be excessive.

it looked sturdy enough, but when i got it two of ...
I got this portfolio box for my photography class, it looked sturdy enough, but when i got it two of the corners ar missing the brackets and then one of the corners is completely smooshed.It came just in plastic and no protective covering, the UPS person put it in the snow, and it was damaged when I got it. re-think your packaging. Because of this box, i might not get a decent grade for my class, two of the corners are already split completely open and its not going to protect my pictures.

Perfect for storing un-replaceable platte books
These boxes worked perfectly for storing two un-replaceable platte books that I inherited.They were sized exactly as listed.If you have valuable printed material that you wish to protect and preserve I would highly recommend this line of storage boxes.

Sturdy, archival box
Very sturdy box. I wanted something safe to store old family photos. I can put unbuffered, acid free paper between the photos, so I think it will work OK. I was looking for a box with dividers or envelopes that would hold a variety of sizes, but I couldn't find anything so chose this.
