Download it once and read it on your Kindle device, PC, phones or tablets. Use features like bookmarks, note taking and highlighting while reading Designing and Prototyping Interfaces with Figma: Elevate your design craft with UX/UI principles and create interactive prototypes. Review: Good way to learn the basics of Figma/FigJam - If you're completely new to Figma, this books is a great place to start to learn about many of the features and how to use them. It helped me understand a lot of the basics through sample projects, and since then I've gone on be able to understand some of the more complex features of Figma. I've even put together mockups that make other people ask "how did you do that?" They are printed on demand, when you order them which you can tell from a date printed on one of the pages, which is just a day or so after I placed the order lol. Pretty cool way to make sure they don't build up an overstock of them Anyway, back on topic, I'd definitely recommend this book to get you started in Figma (and FigJam). Review: Good book - Absolutely delightful to read and will make you a ux professional if serious

Really helpful yet hard to get through fast
The information in this book is super thorough and invaluable, but I found it bit slow moving to get through many sections when in a hurry to get up to speed (I was coming from sunset Adobe XD), but I’m super thankful this book exists because when learning via video it gets annoying to rewind over and over — it’s easier to be able to underline and make notes directly in the book. If a 3rd edition comes out I’ll be buying it again.

A Beginner-Friendly Guide to Figma
I recently took a dive into "Designing and Prototyping Interfaces with Figma," and here's the scoop: it's a pretty good book, especially if you're new to the world of UI design or making the switch to Figma from other design programs. The author does a solid job of hand-holding through Figma without making your brain feel like it's on overload. The step-by-step instructions are clear, and the whole thing is downright friendly – no intimidating jargon or eye-glazing technical talk. What's interesting is that the book is not trying to be the end-all-be-all of Figma guides. It's not the most comprehensive thing out there. But you know what? That's not necessarily a bad thing. This book knows its audience and sticks to its lane. It's like the perfect match for beginners and junior designers, especially those making the jump into companies that swear by Figma and FigJam. Now, if you're a seasoned UX veteran, this might not be your cup of tea. It doesn't delve into the nitty-gritty details or the advanced wizardry of Figma. But guess what? That's totally okay. It doesn't pretend to be that kind of book. The real sweet spot for this book is its focus on helping those of us who are still figuring out the UI design ropes. It's like having a patient friend show you around Figma, making it less of a maze and more of a playground. And if you're one of those junior designers navigating the ropes in a Figma-centric workplace, this book might be for you. In the end, it's not a one-size-fits-all solution, and it's not claiming to be. But if you're starting your journey in UI design, making the leap to Figma, or finding your feet as a junior designer, give it a shot. It's like a friendly guide that won't make your brain hurt, and sometimes, that's exactly what you need.

Thorough walkthrough of Figma, with some great tips for anyone self-taught!
This book is an amazing resource for anyone who is interested in learning how to use Figma. Especially as someone who gets lost when following video tutorials (or has to pause every few seconds to reference), having a guide written out that I can follow at my own leisure is perfect. At the start, Mr. Staiano carefully explains every term and style choice that will be used in the text (for example, a different font for new terms). I think this is a really nice touch not only for people new to Figma but also to experts to make sure everyone is on the same page about the conventions used. The book also details the different payment plans for affordability, and even includes a tip for educators and students! Personally, the most useful part of the book is the way that all of the features are explained (and include the keyboard shortcuts on Mac & Windows) for both Figma and FigJam. I love this because, as someone who learned Figma on my own, there are a lot of shortcuts that I don't know or haven't familiarized myself with yet. The book takes the time to explain auto-layout, which is probably one of the more confusing aspects of Figma as it is an incredibly powerful tool that can be really confusing when you first use it. The book does a great job breaking down what all the options are for auto-layout and how they work. I also love that they talk about variants (a part of components) as well as variables (I definitely didn't know what variables were for until reading this book). As someone who has self-taught and been playing with Figma for around 2 years, there was a lot of knowledge in this book that I had no clue about. I cannot wait to try out using all of these new features and tools in my projects!

A Good Resource for Both Beginners and Developers
If you're new to Figma or a developer looking to deepen your understanding of this powerful tool, "Designing and Prototyping Interfaces with Figma" is a fantastic resource that delivers exceptional value. As a beginner, I found this book incredibly approachable. The step-by-step guidance is perfect for those just starting out, breaking down complex concepts into easily digestible segments. The clear explanations and practical exercises help you build a solid foundation in Figma's features and functionalities. Overall, this book stands out for its thorough approach and practical focus. It’s a well-rounded guide that caters to both novices and professionals, making it a must-have for anyone looking to master Figma and enhance their design and development skills.
