The fireproof document box has a grippy hard-shell exterior. However, the shell still has enough flex that sitting on it would likely cause it to collapse. Locking the zippers can be frustrating because they need to be positioned just right. If they’re even slightly twisted, they won’t reach the lock. The zipper handles curve around the case, so there’s a directional aspect that makes closing and locking more challenging. The stitching is widely spaced, which suggests it may not hold up well under constant use. The zipper line is also not waterproof. This will probably be the most susceptible to fire and water ingress (assuming it's used for fire suppression). The handles are soft and flexible, made from the same material as the exterior. Fairly comfortable to hold. Inside, the laptop section is disappointing. It has no padding, and the only thing securing the device is a plastic piece on one side, offering minimal protection. Overall, great to hold documents on the go. I'd be more hesitant in putting laptop in there because of the lack of padding. Realistically, the box will resist direct flames and perhaps the heat from a nearby flame. The zippers don't seem like they are fireproof and will likely be the weakest link. Water ingress will damage papers, but may not be the end of the world compared to fire damage.

I was very happy with this fire protection file and document case, its rugged and helps me organize all my documents perfectly with the peace of mind. The locking mechanism was very easy to program and secures very nicely.

While the document case is nice and sturdy and has lots of room for papers, passports, and other special items, I have strong concerns this case can only deal with a short amount of fires, closer to 30-60 seconds. So while it may be fire resistant I still think the heat over a long period of time will melt whatever is inside the case. I don't like how my lock is crooked and looks like it can be easily picked. Also, I can't even find a UL certified number in the case at all. For the value, it's not a bad protective case especially when you travel. It's lighter weight for a semi rigid portfolio to store your important items. Overall, I'd suggest going with a truly UL-tested product rather than a third party brand if you're looking for a good product at a good price.
