Great
Works well. Doesn’t move. Much needed to catch hair.

Amazing! Catches ALL of my hair. No more clogged drain!
I have long, thick, brown hair. I live in an apartment. The shower is nothing special. Literally after EVERY shower, my hair would clog up the drain. I honestly don't even know how I still have so much hair with all that I lose each time I shower. Anyway, I had bought one of those plastic shower snake things and was using that after each shower to clean my hair out but that just was not practical. Plus it never got all the hair and it was gross. Mildew and other disgusting things would come up with the hair each time I used it, making the shower a mess. I needed to do something else so I bought a white, cheap, spikey, drain protector hair catcher but it didn't fit my bathtub drain because I have a large, tall plug that can't be taken off (see picture), and it was too short. I cut a hole in the top of it so it would fit, and that worked for about 2 weeks and then it would just float around, and hair would get underneath it. SO, I looked online and saw this. It looked tall enough that it fit over the plug and I've bough OXO products before, so I felt safe buying it. I had my apartment's maintenance staff come and clean the hair out, and then I started using this. It is a thick plastic, and it is heavy so no hair slips underneath it. It also doesn't move around. It stays put. My husband gets fuzzy's in his belly button from his hospital scrubs and it also catches the fuzzies which had also been clogging up the drain. After the shower, it is easy to pull the hair off of it. The other drain protector I had (the white, spikey one), would really hang on to the hair and I had a hard time getting it out. With this one, it is very easy. And I have literally had NO issues with the drain being clogged since using it, which is amazing. Like I said before, prior to this, I had a clogged drain after every shower. Also before I had this, I would feel the need to put my hair on the sides of the shower so after, when I got out, I could clean it off with a tissue and it wouldn't go into the drain. Now, I just let all the hair fall because I know it won't go down the drain and get clogged. It is also easy to clean. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend this product if you have had similar problem as I have. I've added two photos for reference.

Stays in place
After finishing my bathroom renovation, I wanted to make sure hair wouldn’t clog the drain, so I decided to get this drain protector. It turned out to be a great choice! The quality is solid, and it stays in place without shifting around like some other drain covers do. It catches hair effectively while still allowing water to drain smoothly, so I don’t have to deal with slow drainage or constant cleanups. It’s a simple but effective solution, and I appreciate that it’s easy to clean. Definitely worth it for keeping the drain clear and avoiding plumbing issues!

The best drain catcher ever
This is the second time I’ve bought this product. The first one lasted three years before the mildew got to it. It does a great job catching hairs before they go down the drain. Plus the stainless top on it weighs it down perfectly so it stays in place.

I WAS SKEPTICAL BUT IT ACTUALLY WORKS VERY WELL
My husband was complaining about my long hair quickly causing the shower/tub drain to drain slowly and he was having to clean the drain a lot. His short hair never caused this problem before we started sharing a shower. I also use a very emollient body wash which I believe tends to adhere to the hair going down the drain making things more gunky. I thought this device probably wouldn’t stay in place and might let hair slip under it and down into the drain anyway. Although it says “ weighted” , it’s not very heavy. And the edges don’t really suction to the tub. But, despite that I was pleasantly surprised! I have used it 3 or 4 times now and even though the water from the tub spout hits directly against it, it didn’t move. Yes the tub does drain more slowly within a few minutes as the hair and lotion like body was start collecting around this device. But I find that after I turn off the shower and wrap my hair in a towel and dry off and put on my robe, and put away my toiletries, the tub has drained just fine. And this device catches an AMAZING amount of hair. If any gets through, it couldn’t be much. And the slimy body wash has accumulated too. I just pick it up and get a paper towel and wipe everything off and into the trash. The hair catcher is clean and dry ready for next time. I don’t leave it in the shower because my husband doesn’t need it and there’s no point to leaving it wet to get gunky. I think cleaning it each time is crucial. Otherwise it collects so much hair and stays wet which gets gross fast. It will also last longer if it is cleaned after every “long hair” use. My hair is barely on top of my shoulders and not very thick. I think this would be a life saver if you have long thick hair or multiple longer hair users in your home.

Not for fine, short hair
I have shoulder-length, baby-fine and slippery hair. We used a tub shroom for years in our old apartment and it seemed to catch everything. Our new apartment shower has a seemingly non-removeable popup drain (we tried unscrewing it and looking online for other methods, but it just won't come out), so the shroom wasn't an option. This seemed to be the best solution, as it would fit over the pop-up drain. It seemed to work well enough, though I noticed that I rarely had to clean it. A couple of months later, however, our tub was draining slower and slower. Drano didn't work, so I used one of those plastic drain snakes and, lo and behold, a huge nasty clump of conditionery hair came out. Specifically, my hair. My boyfriend's thicker hair, which was getting caught by the hair catcher, was nowhere to be seen. I decided to test it. With the water running, I placed a few strands of my hair -- an amount that usually sheds in the shower -- right in front of the hair catcher. They were sucked right through one of the holes and into the drain. I think the idea with this design is that the hair will generally be too heavy or long to go through the holes and just end up wrapped around in a clump. But for my particular hair texture, there's not enough resistance.

Nicely designed
I like these so much I bought three. (See pics of the 3rd one I just bought). It's pretty well designed, like most OXO products. It catches medium to long hair just fine (hair ends up around the base of the dome). Installation is so simple - just plop it over the drain and it stays there. The weight is enough as well, heavy enough to stay put with water but not too heavy to move. Though it's not really suctioned as some mentioned. So if you stand close to your drain in the shower, you may move it if you accidentally kick it. Wasn't too much of a problem for me as it still stayed down while it shifted and it's not that easy to accidentally tip over. Removing and cleaning it is easy. You should probably remove the hair fairly often so it doesn't stay there and collect. Also will need to clean the silicone by wiping somewhat often so it doesn't get too dirty over time. The one minor nitpick I have is that water drains a bit more slowly, so you may end up with more suds staying in the bathtub longer. It's still fast enough for me, and it's not a huge deal as I clean the tub and drain regularly, but something to consider. Overall, quite happy with this product!

Catches my hair. I like it. Would Recommend
Pros -Catches my hair and works well -Silicone stays clean, no grime build up after over 4 months with maybe 1 or 2 times I actually gave it a wash (not that it looked like it needed it - no smell from it, shower products don't seem to stick) -Silicone base stays in place and doesn't move around when water runs on top of or around it -Hair is easy to clean off (doesn't get stuck in those holes). Doesn't matter if hair is long or short because my partner's hair (maybe a inch or two long) is also caught by it without sliding through the holes -Feels like quality material but is still a cheap price Minor Con but not really: -I personally don't mind this but some might: I clean the hair off this thing after every shower. If you don't the hair will build up and cover those holes and the water takes longer to drain. I think the longest I went without cleaning hair off was like 4 days but by that time my hair was covering so much that a good puddle was left in the shower that took over an hour to drain (I lose a lot of hair lol). Not a big deal to me because the hair doesn't stick or tangle in the holes, it just wraps around, so you can just wipe it right off and it takes literally 3 seconds. If you're looking for something to put down and forget about for a few weeks you might wanna go with those in-drain hair catcher things (but those get really gross from personal experience so this is a better option to me. It's up to you if you wanna do a little work everyday that isn't gross or have to deal with one gross thing every month or so)

Bluffant !
Or, si !
