It’s rather oversized but looks great for costumes. Extremely sturdy and good quality for a prop-feeling hat. But don’t expect a nice professional hat from the odlen times, it still has a costume feel. Great bargain regardless

The hat is very sturdy, and I purchased it after reading that someone who was generally considered large headed fit nicely in the hat but that there were foam inserts for smaller heads. I was mislead by the comments and should not have purchased such a sturdy hat. I wear a 7 3/4 or 7 7/8 hat size and this most certainly was too small. However, after a bit of working with a hair dryer, I was able to get the plastic mold seams to separate, without damaging the fabric covering and have molded the hat to work. The amount of effort I put into getting this hat to fit is a testament to it's quality and this will be a favored prop for years to come.

I was really excited to love this hat, but unfortunately, it didn’t fit as I hoped. My head circumference is about 22 inches, which I'm not sure is considered small, but this hat was too large for me. I had to return it, but I will say the quality is fantastic! If your head size is larger than 22 inches, I would definitely recommend this hat.

Came packed will with bubble wrap. Not damaged at all. Best you will get in this price point. Great for costumes that require a top hat. Is sized for about 22 inch head has foam pads for smaller heads. My head is about 23 1/4. To make this fit I used a hair dryer and heated up the front and back of the brim and stretch the hat out a little bit to hit my head.

I needed a top hat for an event/costume; I didn't want some cheap plastic "New Year's" hat, but I also didn't need something for Charles Dickens reenactments and wassailing. This hat was perfect...well constructed, and not too expensive. It came with foam sizers for those who may need them. Had I not been wearing a wig with it, I would've needed them. I zhuzhed it up a bit for my costume and was very pleased with the results.

This hat is really nice. I looked around on Amazon at dozens of top hats. I was worried it would come squashed because that was one of the biggest complaints I'd seen across all the hats I looked at. This one is a winner! I'm impressed with the quality. Its thick and soft. It was wrapped in bubble wrap on all sides. When my kids saw it they asked, is it the real one? We had looked at getting a real top hat for 2 or 3 times the price. But it wouldn't come in time. I told the kids, 'no, a costume hat'. Its not 'real' because it doesn't have hat lining. But honestly its hard to tell from the outside. I turned it over half expecting to lining with how nice is. For 15 bucks I am very impressed in the quality of this hat. Makes me want to find someone with a 'real' top hat and compare. Very nice hat! My husband and I are going to Dickens on the Strand, this hat will do quite nicely!
