Super necessary
I love these discs. They’re the best in terms of how rugged conditions and not getting ruined. I had to pay a ton of money to recover data and items seem to disappear from the cloud in photos. For example I don’t have photos from before 2010 maybe and pictures disappeared from when I was in college so having this is completely necessary for me for keeping my artwork safe and so it won’t just like disappear one day in the cloud

Good Hard Drive, a little sluggish at times. Hard Drives have basically doubled in price in the last 6 months. Is it due to Trumps Tariffs??

500MB less and causes system to freeze
First of all, I understand that there is always a marginal (marketing) error when advertising Hard Drives. But buying 5TB and getting only 4.5TB is a letdown! Where are the missing 500MB? This is not right! On top, the drive caused my system to crach. Here's a quote from ChatGPT: "our system is stable as long as the LaCie drive stays unplugged."

Dopo un paio di mesi di utilizzo (attaccato e staccato dal computer, e lasciato su una scrivania) non si collega più, probabilmente il pin dell'usb c si è dissaldato o qualcosa del genere. Pessima qualità dei componenti sconsiglio vivamente questo prodotto. Tutti questi soldi e poi non dura niente. Spero che risolvano con la garanzia senza farmi perdere troppo tempo.

I use this to store all of my 3D printing files on. I store it in the laptop case and haven't been too careful with it and it's lived up the rugged behaviour. Not the fastest being a 5500 mechanical, but if you're after a big, reasonably priced, rugged external to keep all your files on hand without needing an internet connection, this will do the job.
