The Greatest Presidential Stories Never Told: 100 Tales from History to Astonish, Bewilder, and Stupefy โ Compelling Untold Anecdotes About American Leaders (The Greatest Stories Never Told) Review: Super, super book - Every story is a surprise. It is great for young and old. The writing is very agile. There are several stories that give an entirely new view of President Lincoln. Never knew that he obtained a U.S. Patent for the design of a flotation device for boats that get stuck on sandbanks. The stories are great for reading to kids before bed. Each story is one page long and the facing page has details and facts that give added color to the times surrounding the presidential tale being described. Review: Very Interesting... - Some of the stories I have heard before, but it is always interesting to read little known facts about the presidents. I really love the fact that each is a short account of the item being told and so easy to read a bit at a time. If I have only a few minutes, I can still read something entertaining and interesting. It is great for young teens, teens and adults alike.

Brain candy
I bought this book after hearing an interview with the author on NPR. The small hardcover square is very nicely produced - each spread is about a President - several pics and several tidbits of unexpected stories. Amusing, gossipy, and visually attractive. It reminded me of the books I used to read as a teenager, except that visually they were not as good, soaking up information about everything. Now I prefer books that take one topic and treat it in depth, but this brief return to adolescence was like eating brain candy. I am saving the book for when our nephews come to visit.

greatest presidential stories never told The Greatest Presidential Stories Never Told: 100 Tales from History to Astonish, Bewilder, and Stupefy A quick read, each story is a page or page and a half, with photo(s) and/or sketches. Tid bits, not full stories, but interesting. Worth buying used.

Cool and little know fact about almost every single one of our Presidents
I bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend who likes presidential history, and I decided to get an extra copy for myself because I own the other books in the series and I really enjoy them. I was not disjointed, and my friend, who is a presidential history buff, was delighted to learn many cool but little known facts about our presidents (and a couple of foreign dignitaries that are included as a bonus.)

Interesting
At night I read this book to my young son mostly because I am fascinated by the stories. My husband listens and we are surprised and informed by what is included in the book. For anyone interested in history I recommend reading it. The stories are so fast that you can read the book in no time.

fun reading
These books offer fun reading and make great gifts. The stories are interesting and short, so you can enjoy this in brief sittings. I do not see any references or footnotes in the stories, so one might be picky and wonder how accurate the stories are, but that is not a big deal for me with this kind of book.
