The best large travel playpen
Great travel playpen for multiple small children. Folds up easier than a pack n play, but the 1 drawback is that there isn't a sturdy bottom. We have the gray star mat and I love it. The base and sides are thick, have not had any kids climb out or had the playpen tip over. Super easy to set up and close, I can do it 1 handed usually. Also lightweight. Absolutely the best if you do travel sports or have a little heard like me. This fits my 3 year old twins, 1 year old, and me with room to play. The top is a blessing on a sunny day but could be popped off by determined children. Safe for kiddos that dont look for an escape route everywhere- mind figured out how to use the X in the bars to boost themselves up (not tall/strong enough to actually get out yet)

Perfect for camping and everything else too!
We have a 10 person "3 room" tent we got at Walmart for $120 and this fits perfectly in one side of it and our queen mattress on the other with room to spare. We have the smaller version of this playpen we used for quick trips to families houses when he was really small but I upgraded to this size because it holds a crib size mattress or in our case a memory foam crib mattress topper. We put the memory foam on my 1.5 year olds bed months in advance so he was used to sleeping on it then we just roll it up and bring it with us for camping. He sleeps through the night beautifully no matter where we are and if it's too bright like at our cabin we can put the top on this to darken it for nap time. Love the security this gives us to travel, I don't have to worry about him wandering or getting into things if he wakes up before us he just plays with his toys. He is 2 now and we used it the other day on my mom's pool deck, there is plenty of space for him to play happily still and we can actually relax. Bonus it's big enough that I can climb in and sit and play with him. If your debating what kind of playpen to get definitely go for this one, set up is under a minute and it's light weight and easy to transport anywhere. No sense in wasting money on those heavy plastic panel ones or the most common those nasty uncomfortable pack n plays. Trust me I labored over this decision when I was pregnant and so glad I made this choice now that I have experience with all 3 and our second baby is on the way I know I will get so much use out of both sizes.

Perfect for camping, easy to fold up, but might want to use stakes on a windier day
To start, thanks amazon for sending me a used unit even though I bought this new. Luckily it wasn’t damaged, just scratched up and badly packaged. Now to the product, this is such an awesome playpen. My 6 month old twins need a lot of room to roll around and eventually crawl around and this is a safe way to let them roam around. Keep in mind the bottom is super thin, you’ll want to put a thicker throw blanket or quilted blanket under it so 1, the babies don’t hurt themselves if it’s on a harder surface, and 2, that a harder surface won’t scratch up the thin material. Everything folds up very easily. The whole thing can be put together in about 60 seconds, from in the carrying bag to locking the tabs to the umbrella cover. It’s sturdy and lightweight, and on a windy day we actually had to weigh it down because the 2 boys and their toys weren’t enough to stop it from drifting in the wind. For camping it’s really perfect. Allows the boys to play and we can sit and enjoy ourselves without worrying about annoying gates that take up too much room.

Perfect For Twins!!
I have twin 8 month old girls and I was stressing over how to keep them out of the mud and leaves when we were planning our family camping trip over the Christmas break. I didn't want them eating everything on the ground and getting covered in dirt! I originally planned on perhaps getting a baby yard that we used with our older kids that had panels that folded up like an accordian. Looking for that here on amazon I came across this Regalo play yard which collapses like an umbrella and has a BOTTOM so no blankets are needed to keep baby off the ground!! OMGosh let me tell you how much I LOVE this play pen! It was PERFECT for camping! We even had other people ask if they could put their babies in with ours because THEY were frustrated trying to keep their little one's out of the dirt! It fit a total of 5 small children comfortably. I use it several times a week now to let the girls have time to play outside while I'm gardening or washing dishes at the window. They love to hear the birds, look at the clouds float by, and watch airplanes soar overhead. The best part is that I can leave the canopy off for some natural sun exposure and vitamin D absorption, or put it on when it gets hotter. My only concern is that the carrying strap seems like it might break after multiple uses. We carry it around a lot when we go to the park and it seems a bit flimsy. JUST the strap-NOT the play pen.

The pros outweigh the cons (at least for our needs)
PROS: - Extremely easy to set up. - Easy to disassemble and wash. - Plenty of room for even a few little ones. - Canopy provides ample shade. - Canopy is also easy to set up and take down. CONS: - Still gets pretty toasty under the canopy when in direct sun on a hot day. - Did NOT come with a storage bag (This is my biggest complaint. I'm a smaller individual and it was annoying to move from point 'A' to point 'B' but nothing a few bungee chords can't fix) Overall I love it and it's always in the back of my car ready to go when I need it. Note: My canopy did end up being defective. The rods in the canopy did pierce through their little pockets, causing the canopy to ride up, I've contacted Regalo for a replacement but they won't be able to send one until August due to being out of stock. It was excellent up to that point, thankfully it was more of a perk than a necessity in our case, but I do hope/expect to be sent a new one once they're in stock.

Playpen
I used this playpen everywhere I went with my child. The beach, the park, camping, and family events. It is super easy to set up. I bought the bigger one which was super nice since I fit nicely in there I am 5' 5". Be sure to buy a pad for concrete floors. The umbrella was very comfortable and used it all the time. Never leave your baby alone in there for safety especially if they start climbing out.

Excellent for when baby gets in crawling stage
Purchased this play yard when our grand-baby first showed signs of crawling and it was a lifesaver. She started pulling herself up on the sides and sometimes would knock her noggin on the bars so my husband and I used pipe insulation tubes found in the plumbing section at Lowes or Home depot (local hardware store) They come in 6 ft sections, have a slit on one side for easy application. This size play yard used 9 sticks to cover all of the support poles. The half inch piping fits well but the 3/4 inch piping provides a little more padding. No need to tape or secure the tubing, just measure against tubing and cut with scissors. It would probably be a pain if you plain to close the unit up on a regular basis. As for us we can move it from room to room or out doors pretty easily with the two of us (unit empty). I found the pink carpet on Amazon, it is sized for the smaller play yard, wish I could have found one that fits the larger yard. It needs padding, especially if used outside on a patio. The baby could fall and hit their noggin, there is NO padding on this yard. I've also seen an inflatable version (octagon shape) but again, its for the smaller play yard (watch out for size.) If I had to do it over again I would have purchased the smaller version simply for these accessories. Wanted the large crawl space but, it wasn't a big deal after the fact. Main feature that made up my mind was the screen cover. We plan to bring her outside more often as weather permits. Hope this helps in your decisions. Update: we are on second grandchild using the play yard. It folds up nicely with the padded bars but doesn't fit in the storage bag. So I put the cover in the storage bag and store it inside the play yard, strap it with bungee cord, problem solved.

GREAT when you have a clingy baby
What a great product. It was easy to assemble and the space was adequate for my son to roam around without feeling confined in a small space like his crib. We did have to lay it down on a rug and I do suggest using rubber tiles or a rug if you have it on a hard surface like hardwood since my son likes to roll around and stand up and occasionally fall. The space is big enough for a 5’10 guy to lay inside and still have more play space than a crib ever would have. Our son is super clingy and it helps sometimes that we are within arms reach and this helps ease his clinginess. I would recommend this is you have enough space in your living room for this play yard and to keep your baby from crawling everywhere. Hope this helps.
