Happy I bought it
Review of Gosky 2019 updated newest spotting scope that came with canon dslr and iPhone adapter. I bought the scope to shoot a few eagle nest and screech owl that I know location of. I saw a guy with this scope and he was able to reach all the way into the tree while where the screech owl was located with his iPhone than I could with $3000 camera and 100-400 mm sigma lens. The review below is for those interested in shooting the moon. I haven’t tested it out for birds but expect the same issues. The photos and videos I posted of the moon were all shot on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. See pics and videos I attached. It was extremely windy yesterday and I used a light tripod so I think the pics and video could have been sharper. This morning I realized that I had a old fotodiox adapter I used to attach my canon lenses so that I could use it with my Sony A7ii camera. I had no issues attaching the fotodiox adapter to my Sony A7iii and the included canon dslr attachment to the scope so now I can use all 3 of my cameras. I have not taken any shots of the moon with dslr or Sony camera. It was a nightmare due to the weight of the camera body and trying to find the moon while scope was in vertical position. The moon was way up in the sky. It was so easier with the iPhone since the iPhone was lighter so my tripod didn’t shake much and it it automatically focused the moon most of the time and was better quality. I shot the pics in raw in my camera and video in 60 frames a second. I did not edit or crop any of the pics or video. These are straight out of my iPhone. Yup it got that close to the moon. I had to zoom in on phone not to get the vignette. Cons: you need to be patient shooting moon. It takes time trying to find the moon on a tiny whole of the scope. Weight balance of dslr or Sony camera will cause a shaky video if you don’t have a sturdy tripod and ball head. . So use a sturdy tripod with a pan handle since earth rotates so you will need to slowly move the tripod ball head to line up the moon. To much movement and your back to being frustrated cause you need to find the moon again. Pros: worth the price Feel like a kid when you see how far it can reach Want to keep exploring more Want to travel with it everywhere I go just in case you want to know what is that way out there Clear picture during the day Maybe easier shooting still subjects like eagle nest. I plan on lining up the full moon with Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty with this scope to compare the ones I already shot with my Sony A7iii If you have any questions contact me on Instagram Musicman33us

Price over quality is well worth
The scope is of moderate quality, not heavy and is possible to get crisp focusing. The digi adapter works fine with iPhone Xs Max. at 20X, the scope is really sharp and bright, I like to use that to locate and zoom with phone for photo. At 60x will be a slight challenge to focus, a good steady tripod may help especially with phone focus hunting. The provided tripod is of good build but lacks quality control, improve by removing the screws for pan and tilt axis and clean off the applied grease. Sand smooth the coupling surfaces with high grits and oil. Now the tripod is able to pan and tilt smoothly and a joy to use. Overall, it's a good bundle with the accessories and scope and I'm very pleased.

I'm a happy camper! :) works great for me.
Quite happy. Right from next day delivery and right of the box. I was feeling good. I only used is a little bit so far and never used a spotting scope before but this was pretty easy to figure out, set up and use. The magnification is really good for me. I could just about count all the craters on a 1/4 moon last night. I bought it mainly for crossbow target practice. So if I can see all the holes in the moon which looked like a pinky finger nail clipping to the naked eye, I'm sure it will do fine for target spotting. I have a Galaxy note 10 phone and it fits fine on the phone mount. It's takes a few times to set it up just right but it definitely works. Because the scope is already magnified to start and a long lens it takes practice to find the object even at lowest zoom but once you lock in and zoom in on it slowly and adjust slowly it's like "Wow"! Fact: I would definitely buy this if I hadn't already. I did my research on them. And this was one of the high rated ones especially for the price and quality. The tripod is nothing to brag about but it dose the job for a table top target spotting scope. You don't move it often once it's set. For bird and wild life you will need a good fluid head tripod made for real cameras and long lenses. The one it comes with is usable to start but it's not smooth so it's hard to lock in on the object. It's not the scope, it's the tripod. Again if I lost this scope I would have to go buy another one for what it's worth to me. Also be sure to read all the instructions and register your warranty. I'm a happy camper so far.

Great scope for wildlife viewing
This item was purchased for a trip to Yellowstone National Park and boy was it worth the investment. Having a scope can be the difference between an uneventful hike and an amazing day of wildlife viewing. I was able to view 4 grizzly bears on my hike and wouldn't have seen them without the scope. They were probably half a mile or more away and the view is crystal clear at the eyepiece. I was able to connect it to my DSLR camera and my smartphone. The smartphone had a better resulting photo but nowhere near as clear as viewing through the eyepiece with the naked eye. We spotted a male grizzly bear off in the distance that we would have never seen and we not stopped to take a look around. We were also able to spot a female with her Cubs at the top of a mountain. if you are thinking of making a purchase to enhance for wildlife viewing I would highly recommend this product. It was extremely lightweight and was able to pack it with my camera gear in my carry-on bags for my flights. I had people with expensive long lenses asking if they could look through my scope.

You get what you pay for
The spotting scope it is ok for $145.00. Actually the image quality it is very similar to a $399.00 Diamondback Vortex 20-60X60. So, what is good. The price. The weight. Super light (means poor glass) It seems water proof according with manufacture. The Kit comes with Canon mount adapter What is bad: The kit comes with tinny tripod that it is just a waste. You need a heavy duty tripod to use this at max zoom. It performed very poorly in windy days as the foot/collar of the scope is made out of plastic. And to make things worse the poor design combined with weak and thin foot/collar it doesn't support properly transmuting the vibration to the image. I added a piece of cork under the scope between the foot to support and reduce the vibration. It helped a little. The image quality it is very soft (blurry) around the edges, specially at max zoom. The chromatic aberration it is intense specially looking at white birds, tree tops, or anything that is against a bright sky. The spotting scope feels very plastic on the hand. The Canon mount adapter it is made of metal and works. But it is very dangerous as it just hold the camera in place. It doesn't lock in place like a camera to lens would do. If you get distracted you may see a expensive camera body on the ground because of that. The bottom line is, the scope it is just OK for a cheap Chinese $145.00 scope. As I know, the really good spotting scopes goes for thousands of Dollars. For what I am intending to do (occasional bird watching) it will be OK.

Good purchase
I bought this scope for birdwatching, animal watching and scenery all around nature. I enjoy outdoor activities. This scope just like a ladder to me which brings the birds and animals close to me. I am impressed with its performance. First, the wide field of view. The field of view is wide enough to see the entire sight I want. Second, the crisp and sharp image. The image under 45 magnification is really excellent. 60 is slightly inferior, but still very clear - can beats many other scopes I've used. Third, the durable scope body and nice design. Good for outdoors, I can use it even in a rainy day. The last, useful accessories. The phone adapter is well compatible with my iphone. Camera adapters for Canon are also included, but I haven't used them and will have a try next weekends with my large camera tripod. Hope to get amazing pictures. I will update then...

Decent but with flaws
Ok so this product is good for the price you pay. It does not feel like a cheap toy and the 80mm objective lense lets plenty of light pour in. The focus knob is silky smooth. The clarity is nowhere near the $500 Athlon Ares scope you can get but, what I did enjoy is that the chromatic abberation was suppressed, although present it was minimal, I will attach a pic of what CA is below. My gripes are that it is extremely large 2x as big as the Emarth scope and the tripod mount threads are plastic... Like really GoSky, couldn't go out of your way to spend a few more cents to include metal threads. In conlusion, it is a nice scope with decent clarity for the money however the tripod and the mounting plate are utter trash.

This package will surprise you... in a GOOD way!
I got on board very cautiously on this one: no high expectations. I was proved wrong very quickly: out of the box this showed me what it can do with very little effort (see attached pic taken right after unpacking the scope!) The optics are clean and at 80mm you can expect good light transmission. I even managed to test it indoors with artificial light (not that you will use it that way) and it managed a very decent image. Digiscoping is easy with the included adapter: very easy to setup and use. The resulting images show some chromatic aberration which is easily corrected with various available softwares and apps if needed. HINT: if you plan to digiscope, get a Bluetooth remote for your phone, you will need it at all magnifications to make your life less frustrating. I need to test the DSLR adapter, but it looks well made and sturdy. The tripod works well for a table top or similar surface, it is mostly metal so it is stable and more than capable of supporting the scope. All in all a great package! UPDATED: With a couple pictures. Still enjoying this very much!

Great value
I ordered a gosky diamond scope for black Friday. Then I cancelled it and ordered this one. They both arrived and I couldn't tell which was which. Anyway I returned one and got refunded and kept the other. One was definitely better than the other. I was going to spend a 1,000 but I'm glad I just got this. The phone attachment is good. I wish I had bought a better tripod for it though. I use it for spotting birds and it is great value. Nice carry bag and good small tripod for hides.

Great scope!
Very happy with this scope! The glass is really clear and it has a high end feel to it. Can clearly see holes in target at 200 yards shooting my 270. Works exactly as i hoped it would and then some. I would recommend this scope over more expensive brands. I just had a chance to use the phone adapter and it is such a cool feature! My old scope is 20 years old and I use to try and hold my phone up to it to get pictures of Elk through it. I can't wait to use this, today I had a great view of a bald eagle and that's what made me try the adapter. I am going to get some amazing footage of wild life with this set up!
