I don't know the gauge, but it works great for replacing the wires on my crystals,

how long are the pins?

HI, They are over 1.5 inches just shy of 1.75 inches or right at about 4 cm long, the top of the pin is flat and nearly 3mm wide. The pins worked well for fastening crystals on a light fixture, they can be bent/twisted around and easily snipped with craft type plyers and wire snips as needed.

The pins I received are approximately 1 5/8 inches.

How bendable are the pins? I need to be able to easily bend with my fingers.

The pins are 4 cm long and bend fairly easy. You can bend to a 1 cm circle, however if you are trying to make very tight bends you will need some needle-nose pliers.
