Close specs to OEM Bournes Potentiometer.
I needed to repair a Hewlett Packard powert supply but it had to be accomplished on a budget. This item was a very close match but I had to cut the shaft a little shorter and file a flat spot on it for the knob's set screw to contact. Otherwise it works great.

Easy to install
Easy to install but not a permanent fix

10T 10K POT Fine-Dial Knob received Not
-The 10 Turn 10K variable resistor works fine and seems well built and took soldering fine. The POT as been in continuous use for 2 weeks. -The included multi turn vernier dial knob (single digit window version with fine serrated knob) is junk. It worked for about 2 cycles then started binding when the window digit advances and finally wouldn’t work @ all.

I ordered two units (four potentiometers) and received two packages: The first had a pair of 10k ten-turn panel mount potentiometers with knobs (but NOT the counting knobs which were the only real selling point). At least these pots were decently smoothe and solid feeling (but no counting knobs). The second package contained five PCB mount rotary encoders which on top of everything else were defective (upon disassembly I discovered why all positions were open circuit to one another at all points in its rotation -- no metalized layer on the rotor!). Neither item was what I ordered and the second was worse than useless since curiosity caused me to disassemble it to figure out WTF was wrong with it even though a rotary encoder could in no way be a drop in replacement for a potentiometer.

Works well and is accurate
Based on some of the other reviews for this (And other muliturn pots available) I immediately tested the resistance when I received this one. Read 0.3 Ohm at the low end and 10.00 KOhm at the high end. Works great.

BUMP IT UP
I bought these so I could wire these in line with my HO alternator to add resistance so it would trick the vehicle/alternator into thinking I need more voltage hence giving me a extra volt which it worked perfectly and my amplifiers love it !!!

I figured there would be a wiring diagram that shows what the three pins are. Which is which?
