I just want to tell parents to help kids be know that when making the little sculptures 2 things that make them more happy are 1) learning the cooking time takes a little practice. 2)small pieces of different color attached to the main piece easily fall off. To counter this you can put a cut to length piece of toothpick between 2 pieces (for example the head of a snowman and the body). My son made this cool statue with little tips of grass coming up from the base and they fell off. I told him he may try to use the supplied tools to "mush the bottoms of the grass into the base" next time. These are not negative comments! I'm just giving a couple hints as a parent about how to enjoy these really great activity product. The colors and workability are fantastic.

I've been wanting to get into sculpting for a while now and this seemed like a good option, I was expecting mediocre results for so much for such a good price but everything was really great! There are a lot of colors even though I didn't have them all and had repeats of others, easy to work with, no mess. It came with instructions and cute accessories to attach my creations to. After baking them I painted on them a bit and the pictures show after paint before the varnish :) I would definitely recommend this for people of all ages and skill range, a really great purchase.

Disclaimer: I am not an expert by any means! The clay is a bit tough at first but once you roll it around a bit it should be ready to use. I have made a few earrings already and they've come out fine! The clay is a little bit more "wet" than I'd like, and it has a glossy like finish, but I don't mind it too much. The clay blocks are kind of small so it may not be enough for a big project, but as I'm just making jewelry/small pieces, it works just fine, and a little goes a long way! The color is great and it doesn't smear or transfer, except the gold, which got glitter on my hands. Other than that, awesome product! Fun if you're not doing anything too serious.

This clay is great for beginners and kids. For artsy folks, the (mineral?) oil around each brick is a bit odd. It keeps things from drying out which I do appreciate, but it also makes the clay a bit thinner when pinching off just a small piece. Another slight issue I have w this clay is even after baking the correct amount of time according to instructions, I find it’s all a bit soft still. I may remedy this by adding 5-10 minutes onto my next batch’s baking time, but it’s something to be weary of. That being said, this clay is definitely great and a fun rainy day activity! Highly recommended for kids, not too difficult to warm up in your hands and it’s not TOO much clay, if that makes sense. Overall, recommended!

Clay might seem very firm at first but after a minute of mixing they get very soft.So this may be an issue if you have very young kids that don't want to mix the clay to soften it. I had no problems baking it, they held their form great and no cracks at all. I only wish it may have included 2-3 pieces of white clay, but besides that it's great.

Honestly was pleasantly surprised with this clay! My daughter (8) has been working with some clay and wanted more. I saw this and figured why not give it a shot. It's soft and easy to work with, and the clay bakes up nicely. As a "clay beginner" it's been perfect for her. There wasn't enough brown (only one brick) for her, but it is absolutely a fantastic starter kit! The shuttle is a little difficult for her to open - I'm sure with more time it will loosen up. She gives 2 thumbs up Shey happy with it, I'm happy with it. Definitely will get one as a gift down the road

Colors were great, LOTS of clay in the set. I had my preschoolers make tiny heart shaped dishes for gifts. They each got 2 colors to mix. But very shortly after they unwrapped each clay brick & rolled them together they were seriously like soft gum sticking to the table. You have to work fast or your project will be ruined. They dishes turned out just ok, most of them weren’t smooth because we literally had to scrape them off the table. I baked them longer than suggested & they still aren't dry. Not sure if I’d buy this product again. I need something sturdier for little kids who take more time to make projects, this isn’t it.

My grandson's school project was to make a representation of some of the planets in the solar system. He had plenty of colors to choose from and he found the clay easy to use.
