I'd been wanting a moon lamp for a long time, but this one was the best version out there. The Extra Large size is nearly the size of a volleyball, very lightweight, and the 3D printed surface design is accurate and cool! The remote control is really easy to use, but the sensor/touch controls are even easier. This one has So Many Colors to choose from and they all look great, and you can brighten or dim the light A LOT in both directions, which is great at night. The battery life is phenomenal, I plugged it in for a full charge when I got it and haven't needed to charge it again since even though I turn it back on most nights. I really recommend this as a fun gift, especially for anyone who likes cool color lamps, galaxy and space decor, or just unique items!

I bought two of the 7.9 inch 16 colors moon globes for my grown sons for Christmas. They really liked them, a rare hit for Dad. The youngest even sent me a video showing all the colors and talking about how neat it was. The globes have a very nice tactile feel, with the mountains and craters modeled fairly accurately. They really look awesome lit with the white or yellow lights especially, looking like the real moon. Once they're charged, they can be used anywhere as mood lighting. The 7.9 inch globe is especially useful this way as it puts out a decent amount of light. I imagine they would be great for nightlights as well. The only negative is the charging cord is only about a foot long, which can make it challenging finding a plug that will be convenient. It's not enough of a niggle to drop a star, but it is worth mentioning. All in all, I'm happy that my boys were happy with their moons. Anyone with adult children know how hard it can be sometimes buying a present that would be really enjoyed. Next up, I'm buying one for myself for my birthday!

UPDATE: Received a replacement from the manufacturer after my original review. The replacement has been much better than the first shipment I received. The remote functions as described other than the "smooth" or "flash", it's like each of them to the opposite or something entirely different. Not a big deal since I usually keep it on a steady color. I would give A+ to the manufacturer for replacing my defective unit and would advise you do the same if you have issues. Will update this review in the event I have additional issues. Original Review: Stay away from this product unless you like returning products. I bought this from DOTD and regret it. It looked nice while it was on for about 3 minutes. Yes it was plugged in via USB but suddenly all remote control functions and lighting stopped working. Returned.

Was very excited to place this order and even more so upon receiving it. Arrived on time. Unpacked Moon Lamp and remote. Plugged it in and let charge via USB port from computer. Moon Lamp turned a dim red after plugging in. Upon observation, it appeared that half of the Moon Lamp itself seemed brighter than the other half (see pictures). Was also surprised by how flimsy it felt, but perhaps that is a reflection of the materials itself and not a reflection of the quality. A few hours later, Moon Lamp was a dim green after 'charging'. Unplugged charger and went to use tap feature (placed finger over only socket on lamp for over 5 seconds) as well as the remote. Nothing happened. I used a USB port from my alarm clock instead as a different charging source. Same outcome - touch feature and remote were useless. I have an identical remote for another device which does work and went to use that thinking maybe the remote that came with the Moon Lamp was defective (as well as the Moon Lamp itself). I swapped remotes, swapped batteries, and the remote that came with the Moon Lamp still was useless. Also, both batteries worked in my own remote that I have for the other device. Also also, if I unplug charger from Moon Lamp after showing a green color then immediately plug it back in, the Moon Lamp goes red again as if needing to be charged even though it was just charging for hours. Conclusion, Moon Lamp touch feature and remote are not working. Product appears to not work as advertised. My next step is Amazon's Online Return Center.

This moon lamp was really cool. The texture all around it is very realistic, especially when on the white light. It has brilliant color features that you can change with a remote or simply by tapping the moon. it seems pretty sturdy, but still wouldn’t chance dropping it or rolling it on a hard surface for the moon is also really unique and made out of wood pieces that almost resemble a puzzle when putting it together.

This little moon lights up my living room and charges with the USB port like a phone! The colors are spectacular-and the remote easy to use! I loved it so much that I bought one for myself after purchasing two for my teenage nephews! A moon for all ages!

The description is misleading. No remote has given and product is a mediocre one..
