So Glad I Decided To Buy This Guitar
I received this amber colored Fender Special Edition Custom Tele FMT HH from Amazon a couple of days ago. I must admit, I was a little nervous buying a relatively expensive guitar online and sight-unseen. So, needless to say, I went over it with a fine tooth comb when it finally arrived. And I must tell tell you, I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. The finish on the one I got was beautiful and flawless, back and front, from the headstock on down. The flame maple top looks really nice to me and the cream edging around the top , and the neck as well, really enhances its good looks. The wood in the fretboard looks a nice dark color and the abalone fret markers on the fretboard look nice also. I could see where in certain lighting conditions these markers might be a little hard to see, but I would be saved by the easily seen black fret markers on the light cream edging alone the neck. The hardware on the guitar is kind of metallic black looking to me and works well with the black Seymour Duncan pups. I was also surprised at how well my was set-up right out of the box. I let it acclimate to room temperature, plugged it in and gave it a spin. Of course it needed tuning, but to my surprise it was not very far out of tune. I visually checked the neck and it looked straight and the Truss Rod needed no adjusting as the very slight concave that was already dialed in was perfect for me. The action was low, just as i like it, and with no fret buzzing, huurah! I also checked for dead frets and didn't find any. The intonation as set up was slightly off, but pretty darn good for out of the box! I'll adjust that later. So I am thinking someone took their time to set this guitar up nicely before it left the factory, and it held together pretty good on the long trip to finally get to me. Now, the best part was plugging it in and finally playing it! Those Seymour Duncan Humbuckers lived up to their reputation and sounded GREAT! I l already love playing this guitar! It sounds good sand feels good in my hands. I will note that I did find one thing I would like to change. The saddle adjustment screws stick up a little bit too far for my liking and feel a little sharp on the palm. Will look for some shorter ones. Overall, I am very pleased with this guitar thus far and think it was a good deal for the money.

Perfect "Diamond in the Rough" Guitar
Absolutely Exquisite Guitar. Seymour Duncan Humbucker coil pickups can split to single coil. Light solid set-neck every note up to low-E palm grab easily playable, light mahogany body projects crisp clean personality. Compared to PRS SE DGT and Gibson Les Paul Studio Smokehouse both I desperately want and Fender Tele FMT beats for sound and playability subjective I know and price. Occasionally I want trem bar to bend on open string still wanting PRS SE DGT that unless is a screaming deal the Fender Tele FMT is a better in my opinion. PRS DE DGT comlare well to and also a gem. Fender Tele FMT is a perfect guitar.

Her name is Daphne.
This instrument is absolutely beautiful. The first thing that comes to mind is that this instrument is easy to play and sounds amazing. You can definitely get some deep chugs and some high squeals. I usually play an Epiphone Les Paul, but she was killed in an accident. I purchased a little Squier Telecaster and I loved it some much that I decided to buy a Fender Telecaster just hoping for improvements on the fit and finish, but when I started look I came across the Fender fmt custom Telecaster hh and I immediately as attracted to her, but when I found out that she has duel humbuckers I was in love and then when I found out about the split coil switch, I knew she had to be mine. She is not a Les Paul or classic Telecaster, but rather she is something in between. In my opinion this guitar offers the best possible option for players who enjoy multiple genres of music. This is my guitar, there are many like it, but this one is mine and her name is Daphne.

Excellent Teleโperfect variances
Functionalityโthis guitar has high quality double humbuckers that dissociate into crisp single coils with a lift of the tone knob. The guitar is beveled all the way around in all the right places and proportions. Its very comfortable and delightfully light. The top is stunningly gorgeous and very closely resembles the one on the Amazon ad. Mine areived fairly well set up. Action hight was nice and low. I did have to adjust the intonation. The only reason It is not my primary Tele is that I keep it hung up so I wont scratch it. Probably the best value of all my guitarsโand I have quite a few. I recommend this guitar without reservation. For the price you cant beat it.

Great playing, great sounding,
This is a great little guitar. It is a bit on the compact side in several ways; light, small body, narrow neck, but that makes it easy to travel and minimizes fatigue when slung. I had an issue with the first one I received, the high E was barely on the fretboard at the F fret, allowing it to pull off too easily. Hopefully theyโll take note and address this, which would have allowed me to give this a 5+ rating. I returned and replaced it, and the second one I received was fine. Glad I replaced it, this guitar is worth the effort. The ship carton is a bit sketchy, but it arrived undamaged and intact. Great tonation, all the sound and playability of much costlier guitars, and that Fender legacy. I love it!!!

I love the guitar and the way that I got it.
I needed a fixed bridge guitar and always wanted a tele. Bits so generic that another fancier guitar took its place. This one is current. A couple of Dunkins, the Pearly Gates on the bridge is a great choice. I love that pickup. Lots of harmonic tone thatโs really noticeable with even a little gain. Crazy harmonic with heavy gain. Thereโs a lot to love about this tele. Iโm surprised that they donโt offer it in an American or Mexican model. A lot of great guitars are made in Indonesia. Amazon had a 5 month payment plan that worked perfect for me. I ended up buying something else the same way. I couldnโt recommend this guitar enough.

Good guitar but not exceptional.
I like the shape and color of this Fender model and the pickups but it was not set with the right strings so itโs a bit hard on fingers. It is not a Strat quality but is bery playable when properly setup.

Buzzing strings
I could have repaired chips on side but the buzz in strings were a killer. I adjusted trust rod and it was better but then next time I played it the buzz was back. Not worth $700 for a used guitar after tax. Too bad cuz it was a good looking one

There is no scratchplate on this model so beware of metal bracelets/chains damage to finish.
This guitar is fantastic, it is by far the lightest guitar ever and plays a wide range of tones, brilliant!

Nice workmanship, light and simply a great sounding Telecaster
This guitar is nothing short of amazing. To start it's beautiful to look at, the craftsmanship is top notch and it's very light. The sound rivals that of a Les Paul because if the Duncan's. For that matter it doesn't sound like a typical tele, but it plays great right out of the shipping box as the set up was so good I didn't even consider taking it to a music shop for a set up. It's great so just buy it already and I'm sure you won't regret it, but if do you've got 30 days to try it and then return it if you don't like it. I bet you won't though.

The guitar I was looking for.
I'd been playing a Les Paul for 20 years or so and I guess I was looking for something more comfortable. I'd been looking for a Telecaster with both a belly cut and humbuckers and while I could have gone with a standard HH, I felt like this one was better all around and couldn't pass up on it. I've had this guitar for a few months now, playing it daily and I have to say I am not disappointed. Cosmetically, the finish is good apart from the fact that wood parts (top) do not mirror each other very well (happens when you buy online). It doesn't affect playability and gives it character so I don't mind. The action was a bit too high when I got it, but overall, the setup was good. The guitar has a great neck with good fret work. It's a pretty versatile guitar, with great pickups. I'm not a huge fan of the push/pull coil tap switch built into the master tone control knob as I find it a bit hard to change rapidly when playing, but it does give the guitar some cool extra tones. I just feel like it could be tricky to maneuver in live situations. I wasn't looking for a set neck and could have lived without it, but it's very comfortable and allows for easy access to the frets near the body. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

Excellent Workhorse from Fender 1 Year Later
Build: Guitar was stunning out of the box. Setup was actually pretty good out of the box, and was able to be tuned and played within a couple minutes. Guitar was stable and, once setup, had held extremely well through weather and humidity changes. Hardware: Pickup choice works very well in this guitar. The hardware looks and feels good quality. For the pots, one had less stiff travel than the other, though neither were 'loose'. No scratchiness in pots, either in standard or coop split. Value: Guitar was decently packaged and survived the transit. At this price it should include a gig bag like the MIM guitars. Not much else to complain about.

Amazing guitar!!
This guitar is awesome, the action was real high and had a bit too much neck relief when I got it but with a few adjustments it is perfect. The finish is gorgeous and plays beautifully and man it sounds great ๐ highly recommend even tho it's surprising it made it in 1 piece the way its shipped
