you get what you pay for
it is a cheap board, especially considering it comes with a padded case. the case is pretty nice and works well for carrying, traveling, or storing. the board itself is a little lighter shade for the dark squares and the work is pretty poor, but for the price id still say its a good value if you arent particular. the a and h files are noticably wider than the others and not quite square. my e5 maple square has a different look than all the others and stands out a bit. it has almost a patterned pearlescent thing going on(it looks like culy maple if your familiar with that) while all the other white squares just have a normal subtle maple wood pattern. the seams between many squares are a little wonky, very small but noticable gaps between some and just some overall not great veneer work. im slightly dissapointed in these many imperfections but realistically its a pretty good value and perfectly usable. i havnt played on it yet but the only concern might be the felt pads of peices snagging where the squares arent fit great but that may well not be an issue.
