What is the content of proanthocyanidins in a capsule of this product? "25,000 mg cranberry fruit" is useless and misleading information.

I work in a lab that does DMAC tests for cranberry PAC and anti-adhesion activity test. I have seen Azo cranberry (Pacran) tested multiple times. It always has very low PAC content, less than 2 mg. It also always tests very poorly for anti-adhesion activity. Anti-adhesion activity is how well it prevents the bacteria from infecting your urinary tract. This is because it is made from "whole berry". All "whole berry' products test poorly. The PAC are bound to the "whole berry" parts so they cannot bind to bacteria that cause UTIs. Only cranberry PAC cause anti-adhesion. The other parts of the cranberry may have health benefits but they do not help prevent UTIs. The cranberry supplements that test the best by far are (extracted) made from only pure cranberry juice.

Does it have gelatin in it?

I ended up switching to scoff cranberry extract "women's health". Has 500 mg of cr extract, and the softgels are smaller than most others. Most softgels, from what I understand, have gelatin. Dried gelatin is what the outside of the softgels is made of, I'm pretty sure. If u don't want gelatin, you may want to look for a tablet, or a caplet.

Are the soft gels "chewable" or do toy have to swallow the gels?

They are not chewable....I've changed to Piping Rock vitamins (available on line from Piping Rock Vitamin site)...I've never purchased chewables. All I have gotten are either gel or powder inside. Have you done a search on line with "chewable" in the search line? Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Is there citric acid or artificial sweeteners in this product?
