Anker Prime Power Bank, 27,650mAh 3-Port 250W Portable Charger for Travel, TSA-Approved, Smart App, for MacBook Pro/Air, iPhone 16/15/14 Series, Samsung, Laptops, and More (Charging Base Not Included)

My phone’s battery health is in the low 80s, and my will drop down to 50% or 40% remaining by the time I get home from work. I use this power bank to charge it while I’m sitting at the counter eating while watching a video, or while I’m playing a game in my recliner and not near an outlet. I’d rather not run a long cord from the wall to my chair so I use this power bank to charge my phone while I game, and I also use it to charge my controller. It’s been so useful. So far I’ve been using it for all of last week and it lasted the whole 7 days without needing a recharge. When it does need a recharge, it doesn’t take long at all. Normally it’ll take about 2hrs, but in the app you can set it to take longer to charge, to optimize its life, and that takes about 3 or 4hrs from 0 to 100. The screen tells you how much current is being put into the device and how much is being output, and the app tells you the same as well. I like this a lot more than I thought I would. It really shines when paired with the base station. I feel like the base station should have been included though. I noticed there was a bundle for the 20,000mah version and the base station, but not for the highest capacity 27,000mah. Would have been nice and a bit cheaper. Buying both together is expensive, but for a high quality power bank and the convenience of wireless dock charging and fast input and output, it’s really nice. My only complaint, if any, is lack of wireless charging built in for phones. This thing is the size of a brick and certainly weighs as much, why couldn’t they put a wireless charging spot below the screen mid way or something? Or on the back? A lot of devices are moving to wireless charging, for Anker’s most premium power bank, I feel like that should have been built into it. It’s not like it’s lacking the room for it. But I can get by with my MagSafe cord, it’s just a minor complaint if I had any at all. Oh, and the screen doesn’t rotate like the older model did. One thing I noticed is I can’t use the power bank while it is docked. I’m sure there’s a safety reason for that, but I’ve had one other power bank from another company that worked while it was charging. So it could charge a device such as a phone, while also receiving energy to charge the power bank itself. That power bank recently stopped working though. Still works, but the capacity has really gone down for only being 2yrs old. Maybe that’s why we can’t do that with Anker’s power bank? Idk, I just feel like it’s possible to do but maybe it has an effect on the longevity of the power bank. It’s not a big deal, the base has the same 3 usb ports on its side as the power bank has on top, but it was something I tried to do and noticed it wouldn’t work so I wanted to point that out. Overall though I think this is an excellent power bank and well worth the purchase, but maybe wait till you see a sale as it is certainly pricey

I absolutely love this thing. I keep it in my work bag and can charge my power-hungry laptop, Samsung tablet, and phone all at once. The star of the show here is the 140 watt output that can charge my laptop - no other charger I own can (on the go). This thing is fairly large and heavy, but it is extremely high quality and I think it'll last forever. Anker makes great stuff. Having the ability to see how many charges I can complete for each device given the current state of the device is awesome. The Bluetooth connection and app is surprisingly useful. I love that I can charge this thing using BOTH USB-C inputs to double the speed! Note that I did NOT buy the charging base as this was expensive enough as it was. Love this thing. I bought a case for it here on Amazon. It's amazing. Just make sure you have cables capable of the wattage you're looking to use this for. I bought a few especially for this device (one was a 240 watt cable, one was 100 watt, and the other was 65 watts). Anker sells plenty of great cables! One last note: This thing may be large but it cannot work miracles. It can charge my laptop not even once fully... However my laptop battery is massive. I can charge my phone 3-4 times and my tablet like 2-3 times I believe. If you're charging all three at once, like in my photo, it'll eat through the battery QUICKLY. But everything charges really quickly (my phone got Super Fast Charging 2.0, which is the quickest it can do).

This thing is a beast when it coming to charging my IPhone 16 Pro Max. Last a long time when traveling. Only thing to mention is it is heavy. And this is to be expected given that it holds its charge for a long time and can charge my phone and others a couple times over.

UPDATE April 27, 2025: I wish I returned this, but I’m well beyond the 30 day return policy. This item has been my biggest regret. It literally exploded in my backpack the other day. Original review: I wanted to give it a full week of use before I wrote my review and I must say, I was disappointed after the first day. The power bank holds a charge for a long time. It doesn’t charge as fast as advertised. I does not charge your devices as many times as advertised. I have a MacBook Pro 14 and the full power bank can just barely charges it once and it does that quite slowly. I have an IPhone 14 Pro Max, charging my phone from 50% to 100% dropped the power bank to mid-high forties from 100% It charges slowly if you don’t have the charging station. I think when using both C-ports to charge it still took roughly two and a half hours to charge back to 100% and it was only on 50% It’s not worth the money. Good design. It gets warm but not too hot, I haven’t pushed it to extremes because I saw a video of someone just their iPhone and the power bank started to melt. It has some weight to it but just about what you’d expect. Because of the digital screen, I’d free dropping it or stuffing it in a backpack I plan to throw around. I like Anker, I’m disappointed in the amount of money I spent on this lackluster power bank that doesn’t perform nearly how they claim it will

I love this for traveling. It will charge my phone, laptop, and everything in between. USB-C and USB-A. The screen clearly tells you how much battery life is left and how close it is to being fully charged. I just hope I don't ever break the screen. Because of its capacity, it is not a quick charge. Just plug it in when you're going to bed and its ready to go in the morning. Yes, there are charge ports in every airport and just about every airplane now but with this, there's no concerns about getting hacked when you plug your phone in. This also works in travel coaches and on the trail. Its heavy but worth its weight to me. Finally, there have been times I've been told to take it out of my carry on for the x-ray but I've never had any other problems. For the frequent traveler, I highly recommend.

This PowerBank (PB) lives up to all the claims on this website. I have multiple testers and I have put the PB through all the tests I could think to do and it always passed with flying colors. I originally bought a competing product that was 1/2 the cost of this PB for only slightly less mAh, but it failed several of my tests, so it went back and I bought this with no regrets. I love all the control you have over this unit with the App. Modern PB's are designed to charge/discharge from the same port. Once, while I was traveling I used a poorly designed PB and it actually drained my phone instead of charging it. With the the App you tell the device to only send power to avoid that situation. I have attached photos. One Pic shows what my tester reads. Yes it will do Samsung's Super Fast Charging 2.0. That falls within the PPS 4.5-21V 5A rating and I have also tested it to make sure not only is it reading the Spec correctly, but it can actually do what it says. The other Pics show how fast the unit can recharge with two chargers connected. When looking at the pictures pay attention to the voltage because I did tests with both PD3.0 and PD3.1 chargers to see what kind of results I would get. Regardless you can charge the battery from empty to full in ~30min (I timed it). I have another picture showing the output under load. Finally the last picture shows all the Specs. It does show in small print 3950mAh capacity at 25.2V, which is still accurately correct if you do the math conversion from 3.6V. It also tells you there are 7 3950 mAh batteries, so I'm guessing they are 18650's. the 99Wh is Spec and in real-world tests I was getting between 85 to 90 Wh depending on the test. Under full load the battery does get warm to the touch, but not hot. I'm not sure how they are managing the thermals, but it works great. When you push power to the limits I often find said devices overheat, but not this. One last note is the base is magnetic. I found it attaching itself to random metal items around my desk.

Update June 2026: Well, almost 2 years later, many more full charge/discharge/charge cycles, and at least 3 updates to firmware, 100% is still a lie and all reporting functionality once it hits the fake 100% shuts off. Every single recharge cycle it continues to charge for at least 20-30 minutes after it reaches 100% and every indication on the device is it's done charging. It lies. As a power bank it works fine and I'm fairly happy with it overall. I just wish they would fix the firmware so that it would stop lying about being fully charged when it is still actively charging. Original review from 2024: Even if it says it is 100% charged and no longer shows any indication that it is charging, it may actually still be charging. At least for the first charge, leave it plugged in overnight to let it fully charge. Don't worry about overcharging it, the battery monitor will stop the charging process when it is actually done. If you have an external USB power meter, you can use it to monitor the charging process to see when the charge process is actually completed. At someone's request, I ran through a discharge/charge cycle to see how it behaved. I ran the power bank down to 9% and then connected a USB power meter and logged the recharge process. My unit charged to what it said was 100% after putting in ~80 Wh of power into the battery and then stopped providing any information as to what was happening. The power meter showed that the power bank was actually still charging at full speed (94 watts i this case). It continued to charge for almost 30 more minutes, eventually stopping after putting in ~96.7 Wh in total. Out of the box, it appears that the unit's battery capacity calibration is off to varying degrees. That wouldn't normally be a problem, but unfortunately someone decided that if the device is charging and it hits whatever it currently thinks is 100% charge, then the power bank should no longer monitor or display any information about what is happening on its ports. This means the device simply displays "100%", with no other information available anywhere via the onboard display or app. Every indication is that charging has completed, with absolutely no way to see otherwise unless the user is using an external power monitor. Because of this behavior, the user is incorrectly led to believe that the device has completed charging and should be removed from the charger. My unit's calibration was off by 20-25%, but another person's calibration appeared to be off by about 50% based on how it was behaving: their unit went from 100% to 50% fairly quickly, and them jumped from 50% to 0%. There are apparently some posts that resetting the unit can "fix" that behavior; I'm guessing that it somewhat recalibrates itself as part of the reset, but I don't actually know for certain. I suspect that most, if not all, of the reviews talking about poor capacity are due to this unexpected, and arguably incorrect, behavior in the information display. Just because the unit is 100% charged (or whatever it currently thinks is 100% charged) does not mean that there is no longer any reason or need to display information about what is happening on the various ports. If something is plugged into one of the ports then the informational display should be active and display the current information about what is happening on that port, at all times, regardless of whatever the state of charge is. Since I don't know when, or even if, Anker will update the firmware to correct this behavior the simplest solution is to simply follow directions from the old days: for the first charge, charge it for at least 8-12 hours, preferably overnight. That extended period will help to ensure that the unit is fully charged and should correct the calibration and % charge meter. Edit: 8 months and several charge cycles later and when it shows 100% charged, implying that it is fully charged, it -still- isn't finished charging. No firmware updates. And in this "100% but still charging" state the app shows the exact same thing as the device itself, which is nothing except "100%". Super ticked off that they haven't fixed this behavior yet and apparently whatever self calibration it may or may not be doing is not that great. So, it works well as a battery bank and does what it is supposed to overall, but absolutely do NOT trust that just because it says 100% it's actually fully charged.

Even comparing to all the “high end” kickstarter/indiegogo graphene banks (uze bold/bold2, chargeasap flash 2.0/pro plus), and even with all its flaws (namely, the inaccurate battery SoC percentage meter, and no passthrough charging on this model - why?!), the Prime 250W is still the most up-to-date (protocol-wise) power bank on the market. It’s even got a slick app, albeit completely unnecessary. Since hardly anybody talks about on any reviews, reddit, forums, etc… about the cool dual port charging, I’ll talk about my experience here. After trying out a few different PD3.1 chargers, and making sure the cables were all good with my trusty KM003C, my best case maximum combined charge rate hit 166.5w. And that’s only when the battery’s display meter shows ~90%. I was hoping that it would get the full 170w beans (or more) because I generally get to its second highest rate of 166.2w at around 66%, which is at least somewhat positive that it can do the bulk of the charging at *nearly* the highest rate. Still… I can get single port charging at 141w, which is over advertised. Why can’t I get to 170w? Also, importantly, the unit definitely doesn’t heat up as quickly when charging via dual ports versus a single 140w port. Single port I’ve gotten to 40C, whereas dual port it’s 37-38C when it hits 100%. So I don’t think I’m hitting a thermal limit thats throttling me but I could be Wrong…. So maybe next time I’ll test my next dual port charge in the fridge. About the inaccurate battery percentage meter. It’s well reported by many. When the unit’s meter hits 100%, the real life battery charge is closer to 80%. I’m not going to talk about as to why that is, but you can speculate some logical reasons why Anker did this. Anyways, if you have an external meter, you will notice that the battery is still pulling a good amount of watts (100W+), which slowly trickles down to 0.1w. As I write this, it’s been 30 mins since I hit 100% and it’s still drawing a few. Although I hate the form factor that all the newer power banks are being manufactured as (i prefer the old style flat brick, not a thick brick), I think my 166+ watt dual port charging makes it the fastest charging usb bank on the market. All those graphene power banks designed years ago but released recently are all outdated. They claim they have amazing output with their SINGLE usb-c port having the ability to output 140W (if they even have that, most are still 100W at best) and their “ultra mega deluxe high speed” 100w input charging due to the efficient cooling of graphene (what a crock of s*). The Anker Prime 250W, with its plain ol’ lithium ion (I doubt it’s LiFePO4 otherwise they’d be raving about using those type of cells in the advertisement) can take a lot of input power which I just love. Although I haven’t tried any of the other latest cheap chinese branded PD3.1 banks to compare..z I read that some can even do dual port charging too but I digress. I wish they would make an actual graphene power bank and blow all other products out of the water. Have single port 240W EPR charging/output…. One can only hope. Maybe when TB5 and usb4v2gen3.2 3x3 comes out we’ll see a generational leap in tech with these power banks.

I have this probably a year at this stage, this is an amazing power bank, the speed at which it charges leaves many electric cars to shame ! 170 Watts peak is just amazing and makes an absolute massive difference to the usability of this power bank. First it starts charging around 140 watts , then builds up to around 170 w max, Incredible ! I have a 240 watt charger so I use 2 USB C cables to charge as it will charge at a still amazing140 watts max with a single cable, you can also use 2 x separate 100 w chargers for example. I can charge my work laptop and my phone, I work in a Data Centre and as data centres are they are basically dungeons for humans, I have no 3 pin domestic AC socket in the cage I work in and this power bank is just incredibly useful and saves me a lot of hassle. I can charge my phone and it charges the laptop from almost empty to around 70% before it dies but I don't care because It charges around 45-50 mins 0-100% which is 100% a game changer, it charges much faster than I'll need to charge the laptop or phone again vs my old power bank that charges at 45 watts max. You could use this at home in the Garden with a solar panel connected. I believe Anker have similar power banks now that can charge at 250 watts, absolutely astounding, puts most phone and laptop manufacturers to shame and also electric cars.

Una auténtica bestia parda. Lo compré para viajar y no quedarme tirado con mis aparatos. Carga un iPhone 15 PRO MAX desde el 1% hasta el 80% hasta cuatro veces. Lo he estado usando casi a diario después de usar el móvil intensivamente para hacer fotos y vídeos en mis viajes, recargar las baterías de la InstaX360, el iPhone 15 PRO MAX y el MacBook Air. Y aún así, después de todo eso aún le sobra capacidad. Y ya de paso, lo mejor de todo es que viene con un cable de carga de hasta 140W. Si tienes un adaptador de corriente que soporte dicha demanda de potencia, ¡recargas el powerbank por completo en apenas 50 minutos! Y si tienes dos cables un cargador que proporcione la suficiente potencia, recargas el powerbank en poco más de media hora. O_o Es bueno ver también que soporta diferentes voltajes de salida, así que aguanta prácticamente TODO lo que se le enganche. Si buscas una solución versátil, transportable (cumple la normativa de aparatos permitidos en equipaje de cabina) y de calidad, no lo dudes y compra este Powerbank a pesar de su precio. He tenido otros de menos capacidad y mucho más baratos y la verdad que merece mucho más la pena comprar este aunque el precio sea algo abultado.
