"SINGOFIRE" New Upgrade Advanced Handpan Drum, Ember Steel Handpan, 10-Notes with Bag, 22-Inch 440Hz D Minor Kurd, Telescopic Drum Stand, Copper Glow Pupil

This new "advanced" pan from Singofire is by far better than all of the cheap pans I have bought from other Chinese makers and sites like Temu and AliExpress (I give them away to friends kids to play). I have a few professional hand pans (Acolyte) and have played some very expensive high-quality ones (Pantheon Steel). The pan I received is as good, if not better, in some ways than the $2K-$3K professional hand pans. Every note was perfectly in tune and had great sustain. I`ll post an unboxing video and playing soon. I hope Singofire starts building some extended note pans to this quality and other scales.

As promised. This seems to actually be an ember steel handpan. I was worried when the description states nitrided steel, but the ring (resonance) is around 7 seconds when a note is hit. Which means it's like/is ember. Each note is pretty much in tune when checked with a tuner. The coloration (copper spirit) we ordered is some what visable, but not as noticeable as the picture would imply. So, I don't think it'll matter much which pan you decide on getting. So far so good. Excellent deal in my opinion.

I decided to go with this new upgrade advanced handpan by Singofire...so happy I did! Priced well, fast delivery, packed perfectly with all the accessories, in tune with great resonant sound. Company was very responsive & helpful right away, too..which confirmed I made the right choice. Altogether beautiful!

Buyer beware. Made in China. For the price, not the brightest sounding handpan. Not a lot of sustain. Be prepared to have to use a heavier touch playing it. Dull notes and the self tuning guide? A self tuning guide!!! Really! I am suppose to take a mallet and tune and tweak it myself. What was Singofire thinking? You would be better off looking for a better quality drum. Or just buy a cheaper one if quality doesn't matter. This one leaves much to be desired. Find one with a seller you can actually contact!

Passed my expectations, has that long resonance that 2 previous returns didn't have it has the long ring tone that I hear of much more expensive pans you see master players on YouTube play. For the money it's well worth the price, it has that light glowing sound you would want, it's hard to imagine it comes much better than this, as a percussion player it doesn't take long to figure out some inner joy & contentment in playing this instrument it works well for me. The one negative is the largest ring on the outer part of the pan was a little flat which I hear on many 22" pans have just used a little ball pin hammer lightly tapped under around the ring recommend to watching videos knowing I was going to keep it, now has a true ring all around, even so it's a 5 star pan to me.

Of course I just received this upgraded hand pan today, but I must tell you I absolutely love it. Well worth the money spent. I have friends with hand pans that cost a couple to a few thousand dollars, and I must say this hand pan is going to be able to hold its own! Not to mention the beauty of it. I was lucky to have chosen this one. Do not hesitate to give this a try!!

I got this because I have another one that is much larger and wanted to hear what the smaller ones were like. This one has good clear tones, but there is some harsh resonance along with some of the higher notes. I suspect it might be because the instrument is so small and the ratio of playing tongue to instrument body isn't as favorable. I also didn't like how the playing mallets came not assembled and I had to put the heads on myself. Also the sticks seem very small, but they are usable once you get used to them.

I purchased this for my husband for Christmas. He is loving it. Great quality for the money if you don’t want to drop a crazy amount of money on one. Great for a beginner
