Would these be easy to wear when going for winter walks?

They don't attach to clothing. So I don't know what you mean by "wear". But, they are useful for winter walks. I put them in my jacket and hold them against my body. They also make the best hand warmers. By far, the best warmers on the market.

Can they be microwaved?

No, someone told me that with the small omes they boiled them in water in the microwave, but probably not a good idea. You want to protect the sealed edges from melting, also there is metal piece imside of it that you snap to activate. Metal in microwave not a good idea. So they might have boiled the water, then put it in, the took it out re boiled. The short anwcer is no.

How long do you have to boil to recharge?

Once the water is fully boiling, I think it takes about 5 minutes, definitely less than 10. The instructions say to boil until the liquid is completely clear again (it get's opaque once it's 'used').
