My grandchildren love to play with the key to the grandfather clock. When playing one time, they lost the original key. After ordering a couple others that said it would work with this brand…this one really did!!! It looks nice with the Howard Miller grandfather clock. But most importantly it unlocked the cabinet, so it could be used again.

We have a Herschede Grandfather Clock circa 1970s, bought in 1976. Weighted with 3 weights and has chime rods, NOT tubes. Just letting you know this in case you have a similar clock. Our key got lost in a move so I couldn’t open the door to replace the weights and pendulum from taking them off in order to move the clock. So yeah, 5 stars all the way because it fits. The key is solid. Looks great. Works perfectly.

We have an old Ridgeway and the original cheap pot metal key never worked very well before it broke in the lock. Held my nose and bought this, got it the next day. And lo and behold it works better than the original. Heavier as well. Outstanding!

Works well could be thicker metal

I have a late 70's early 80's Trend Grandfather Clock. THIS ONE WORKS! I purchased another key elsewhere which specifically mentioned theirs would work... false! Plus cheaper than the other company. Small, but fits perfectly! Looks nice too, looks authentic!

I lost the door key to my Ridgeway grandfather clock when I moved. Without the key, I couldn't get the door open to reinstall the pendulum and weights. I tried getting one locally, was charged an outrageous price - and the key didn't fit my clock. Returned the key, found this one at Amazon for a price that was NOT outrageous, bought it, and it worked. What more can you ask?

It works, but it’s not heavy duty like my other one was. It’s a smaller and cheaper version. I had to wiggle it to get it to work and it seems pretty fragile.
