The accu-chek monitor does not have an expiry date. They are expected to last a minimum of 3-4 years but can go on for much longer than that. The test cassettes have an expiry date and the date is shown on the individual cassette box.

What’s the expiry date on these

There are two relevant dates. There is the ultimate use before date on the box, but when you load on the machine, it shows the 90 days use by date after opening the sealed package inside the box. Hope this helps..

Much preferred blood sugar testing solution.

These cassettes are a much more tidy solution than the strips and fit into a accuchek mobile monitor which is a complete blood sugar testing package. The only downside is it is bulky and the cassettes have a limited shelf life but all the ones I have received have been well in date. The cassettes are still easily obtainable but the accuchek monitors are no longer available in the uk. My last monitor was obtained from Germany.

Yet another monitor change

I prefer this monitor as I cannot feel my finger tips & the all in one is convenient. Now it’s no longer available thru my GP I’m forced to pay privately which to me is expensive. I’d like to know how long will cartridges & needles be available & will I be forced to yet again change my monitor? I already have 6 (Six) idle monitors in my drawer; it’s ridicules !!
