SETO Japanese Chef Knives: Damascus Forged Steel from World Famous Seki, Japan (I-6: 180m/ m: Thin Blade Knife)

I ordered this knife originally for its traditional qualities (hammered Damascus finish and handle design) and only discovered upon using it how pleasantly functional it is. This nakiri is very blade heavy, an attribute I would not have sought but which turns out to be a virtue when push-cutting vegetables. The VG 10 edge is sharp,the spine hefty, the length (180mm) longer than most nakiris. Overall a very nice knife at a modest price.

The product is stunning. Beautiful and a joy to use. Makes food preparation easier. The company was amazingly prompt with this order. This knife arrived faster than I had expected. They personally emailed me with a send notification and asked that I stay in touch if any problems arose with the shipping. Absolutely super courteous and friendly. This was a present for my good friends that I was staying with. A lovely gift that I got to appreciate first hand.

This is my go to in the kitchen. Great quality very sharp and hasn't rusted.

I honestly have no complaints about this knife. Very beautiful and well balanced. It comes pre sharpened sharper than my razor. Seriously it'll cut through anything like it's not even there. Makes me nervous anytime I use it but it's a blast. I would easily pay $200 for this knife

I’m a fan, nice feeling Nakiri with just enough belly to it and the rounded tip is just enough so. I like the sekei knives even more than some of my more expensive Japanese steel. It’s a keeper.

What can I say, coronavirus has got many of us cooking from he more and this was my first foray into quality Japanese knives. Right off the bat let me say this is a really beautiful knife. It's not as sharp as I anticipated but that should be remedied in a couple weeks when my first whetstone arrives and I can spend a little time improving the edge. But I am more than satisfied with my first ever Nakiri, it's truly a beautiful tool, feels good in the hand, and I hope to take care of it and get many years of delicious enjoyment out of it. My next venture into the quality knife market will be a paring knife. I want to have a collection of a few, razor sharp, quality knives, instead of a bunch that are just average. Very happy with my purchase, Arigato.
