My flat coat retriever Maddie’s youth is behind her (~7 yrs old), so despite her typical retriever puppy energy well into adulthood, she was finally starting to slow down a tad. Quickly after we switched her diet, her energy levels perked back up and her coat started looking better. Before Pure, a 30 minute walk would wear her out. She chows her food down as soon as I put it out for her, which is something that we’ve had issues with Maddie in the past. She’s definitely a fan of the Salmon + Sweet Potato! We have been feeding this to our dog since we adopted him. Great value on Amazon - several dollars cheaper to order on here than purchase in a local pet store. Shipping can sometimes take a week+ so be sure to order a bag before you run out!

Perfect for a dog with multiple food allergies.

The dogs like this well enough and I am happy with the recipe/ingredients. The kibble, however, seems problematic. The individual pieces disintegrate into a sort of coarse dust. I don't see that it matters to the dogs, but it bothers me given that it brings the manufacturing process into question. I will also note that this food is too expensive to have to take the extra step of adding wet food to make it more palatable. I may buy one more bag to confirm this is more than a fluke but am more likely to shop with a local independent business.
