The main peculiarity of the spoon gouge is professionally hardened, sharpened and polished blade, so it goes through cuts easy. Good for soft and hard wood. BLADE MATERIAL of the bowl carving bent chisel - chromium contained carbon steel W 108. The steel is hardened to 60-62 Hrc, the blade is razor sharpened, so be careful during woodcarving. Hardened high carbon, chromium containing low alloy steel has perfectly balanced properties for producing wood carving and cutting tools.
