I bought cheap ones in the past but they last a second. I find packmate travelling bag to be very reliable and sturdy. I understand customers that complain that they break: in my experience, this has never happened just like that, but always due to blowing up the seams. It can happen when the clothes "clogg" the opening, where air should comes out from or when the bottom part, where the openings are, is "sealed". Just check before you start rolling, that there is enough room for the air to come out and ensure that the two layers are not stuck together at the bottom. When you receive the product, do register the guarantee: in case of any breakages, Packmate will replace them for you!Overall great product and great service from DRP and Amazon.

Saw a review of these in a women's magazine and as I was about to go on holiday with one suitcase between my husband and I, I thought it might be worth buying them. I did lay out my clothes to decide which ones to put into the variety of bags in the pack. They do really reduce in size so I could put some of them in my hand luggage. I did think they creased my clothes slightly so decided to put things in them that didn't crease as much. It wasn't a big deal when I arrived as they weren't too creased. Easy to get the air out by rolling them up. The weird thing is I also think they reduced the weight of the luggage too as the clothes felt lighter when all air has been taken out to. So that was a bonus when you are trying to keep the weight down. They are now in my suitcase ready for my next adventure. I am also going to buy a pack for my friend who travels a lot as I do think its a good product.

Such a helpful addition when packing anything away, never mind going on holiday! I used these on a trip to Edinburgh and they saved me so much space in my hand luggage. I squeezed a heck of a lot more into the tiny case than I could have hoped to without.If I have one small criticism - which is why it isn't getting 5 stars - the clip on some keeps popping off and/or not closing the bag properly. It doesn't happen across all of them, just one or two. It means that I have to either refit the clip (a right fiddle) or compress the zipper part using my fingers. Not a particularly difficult thing but it is a bit of a faff. It also means that if you haven't got every part of the zipper completely closed, it will pop open when you try squeeze the air out.They are still a great idea and I'd not be without them, but that is a small annoyance.

These are a good sturdy bag with a good seal. useful for packing at home but don't really help with packing in a case. There is too much extra plastic around the bottom which means its overall quite a bit larger than the item being packed. It does flatten clothes so saves some space but I haven't used them in my case for travelling.

As someone else as said, these are addictive - once you have started to use vacuum sacks to store all those out of season clothes, towels, guest bedding, etc you'll want more. These are great and really easy to use. You open your bag fill it with whatever textile it is you want to store before 'zipping' it shut using the little gizmo provided. You then open the vacuum seal, place your vacuum cleaner hose over it and suck the air from the bag. Once your bag has compressed, remove the vacuum hose and replace the seal. You've now stored your stuff in about half he space and safe in the knowledge it is free from dust, moths, damp, etc. The pack has a wide variety of sizes suitable for storing stuff at home and I have to say I'm so impressed that I think I'll try the travel packs next time I go on holiday.

They seem fine so far, a little expensive for what they are, but they seem to have good customer service (i.e. free replacements of clips and bags). Ive had bags like these in the past that are great for a couple of days, but tend to inflate themselves as the air seeps back in. Haven't noticed this issue with these yet. So far, I can only recommend :)EDIT APRIL 2018:Were pretty rubbish really. Used them whilst travelling Australia and it wasnt too long until they disintegrated at the seams. The air would get in and they'd just expand again. I ended up having to throw clothes away from my luggage just to save space after they burst. They are good at first, maybe for a holiday but absolutely 100% NOT for longer term travels. Even though I only re-sealed them about 10 times, they tore in the first 2-3 months of use- not great when i was out there for over a year! The only use they were to me then was at separating my types of clothes. Two stars given from original 4 due to high cost and longevity of product.

Amazon saves the day! I was stressing because I couldn't get my wedding dress into a box to carry with me on the plane. I brought this last minute the day before I was due to fly and it worked a treat! It's in my luggage and love the fact you get a nice bag to protect it also! Fab service and product!

I bought these for a two week trip to Asia, where although we weren't officially backpacking, we would be taking backpacks and moving between cities/hotels.I have previously used vac-pacs in the home for bedding and didn't know these existed until I stumbled across them on Amazon. Having a number of these bags I was able to organise my packing really easily and this meant that I could find things quickly in my large backpack.One huge plus as a women was how tiny everything packed down to! I couldn't believe how much space I had left in my bag when we left for the airport. In fact, I took a couple of extra bags out with us and after a heavy shopping trip in Bangkok they were a lifesaver in getting our holiday purchases in the bags to bring home! I won't be travelling anywhere without these in the future!
