These are the little round pellets right? the description above says fruit shapes, but the avian breeder is supposed to be all round pelets

That is correct - just like the picture. The Zupreem fruitblend (and also the natural) pellets - breeder & non breeder - come in different sizes. Cockatiel size is round and is 3/16". There are 2 smaller sizes - one for budgies & similar sized birds and an even smaller size for canaries and similar sizes (really tiny). Fruitblend Parrot & Conure and the Large parrot (macaw, etc) comes in the shapes - grape, bananas, etc.  
The natural comes in round for tiels and the other 2 larger sizes come in an oval shape.
Basically, the rule for bird food is to feed the smallest size your bird will accept. Less waste.
The cockatiel size is perfect for my Ringnecks & cockatiels. There is some waste because it is an extruded pellet so when the tiels bite it part goes flinging off into space. Also somehow the tiels make a lot of powder from it in the bottom of the bowl. I have fed the next size down - small bird - to everyone before. The waste is considerably less but the cockatiel size is better for the ringnecks. I buy in large bags so they all get cockatiel.

What's the expiration on this from Happy Birds?

I do not recall the exact expiration except for that it was not expired.  I break it down in freezer zip lock bags and freeze-just watch the moisture when defrosting.  Happy with the product.

The fruit blend I bought in the past was little colorful round pellets, not like in the picture here, did they change or is this the wrong picture??
